John Fetterman Celebrates 2026 FIFA World Cup Taking Place In Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

At Tuesday's Senate Homeland Security Committee hearing, Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) celebrated upcoming major sports events in the U.S.

00:18Lankford to solve these issues that we're facing the United States it's a great great honor for

00:25the United States to host premier international sporting events like the FIFA World Cup in 2028

00:32the Olympics in Los Angeles not to mention celebrating America's the big 250 birthday

00:37and hosting the the MLB all-star game in Philly next summer it's an incredible opportunity to

00:46showcase the best of America to our international visitors and to create a shared national pride

00:52among all Americans I know Giselle my wife and the kids are going to be absolutely there

00:57cheering for for ever team Brazil in Philadelphia at the World Cup the events of the scale do not

01:06happen overnight they take years of planning resources and coordination between organizers

01:12and state and local governments private industry and security partners the federal government plays

01:18an important role in ensuring the safety of these events providing financial resources threat

01:23intelligence and security personnel what I am interested in hearing from our panel today is what security

01:30threats these events face and how we can how we can be needs to begin done to make the decade of
