00:00and security revealing that rent prices are dropping quite quickly in cities where ICE has
00:06been handling some pretty heavy deportations. Texas accounted for about a quarter of ICE arrests
00:11in July and posted the country's sharpest rent drops. San Antonio down 4.8 percent, Austin down
00:184.3, Dallas and Houston down around 3 percent as well. Those are big cities and those are substantial
00:24numbers in big cities. Other major cities in other states, New Orleans is down 8 percent, Nashville
00:30down 5.3, Phoenix down 4.2 percent. It's simple. It's supply and demand. When you remove millions
00:37of people that don't belong in this country, housing becomes more available, housing becomes
00:43cheaper. It's very simple economics unless you are a brain dead celebrity. Listen, the reason why
00:52people can't afford a house is not because of some illegal immigrant who's making less than
00:58minimum wage. I mean, that is basic math. Okay. And there's a finite amount of money. Okay. So if
01:05one person is taking 90 percent of it, eventually, you know, people have to live under a bridge.
01:10It's fine. It's simple math. He says it the other way. Is the only reason that houses are very
01:17expensive and rent is very expensive right now, illegal immigrants? No. Are they a part of the
01:21equation? Absolutely. You dump 10 or 15 million new people into a country? The upward pressure that
01:28puts on the cost of housing? Again, very simple, basic economics. Not that comedians study this stuff
01:34very often.
