00:14In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, peace be with you.
00:19We acknowledge our sins. We acknowledge the great mercy and the love of God.
00:24You are with us in good times and in bad times.
00:26Lord, have mercy. You call us away from confusion into love.
00:31Christ, have mercy. Your love is bigger than anything.
00:34Lord, have mercy. May Almighty God have mercy on us, forgive us our sins, and lead us into healing and
00:42life everlasting.
00:43Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to people of goodwill.
00:48We praise you. We bless you. We adore you. We glorify you.
00:54We give you thanks for your great glory.
00:57Lord God, Heavenly King, O God Almighty Father, Lord Jesus Christ, Only Begotten Son, Lord God, Lamb of God, Son
01:09of the Father,
01:09You take away the sins of the world. Have mercy on us.
01:15You take away the sins of the world. Receive our prayer.
01:19You are seated at the right hand of the Father. Have mercy on us.
01:24For you alone are the Holy One. You alone are the Lord.
01:29You alone are the Most High, Jesus Christ, with the Holy Spirit, in the glory of God the Father. Amen.
01:38Impart to your servants, we pray, O Lord, the gift of heavenly grace,
01:42that the Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin may bring deeper peace
01:47to those for whom the birth of a Son was the dawning of salvation.
01:53Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
01:59God, forever and ever. Amen.
02:04Amen.
02:10Our first reading is a reading from the letter of St. Paul to the Romans.
02:16We know that by turning everything to their good, God cooperates with all those who love him,
02:23with all those that he has called according to his purpose.
02:29They are the ones he chose, especially long ago, and intended to become true images of his Son,
02:39so that his Son might be the eldest of many brothers.
02:44He called those he intended for this, those he called he justified,
02:51and with those he justified, he shared his glory.
02:57The word of the Lord.
02:59Thanks be to God.
03:00Our responsorial psalm is,
03:19Let me sing to the Lord for his goodness to me,
03:24singing psalms to the name of the Lord, the Most High.
03:30With delight, I rejoice in the Lord.
03:34Gospel acclamation.
03:36Alleluia, alleluia.
03:38Happy are you, Holy Virgin Mary, deserving of all praise.
03:44From you rose the Son of Justice, Christ the Lord.
03:49Alleluia.
03:52The Lord be with you.
03:54And with your spirit.
03:56A reading from the Holy Gospel according to Matthew.
03:59Glory to you, O Lord.
04:05This is how Jesus Christ came to be born.
04:08His mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph,
04:11but before they came to live together,
04:13she was found to be with child to the Holy Spirit.
04:17Her husband, Joseph, being a man of honor
04:19and wanting to spare her publicity,
04:22decided to divorce her informally.
04:25He had made up his mind to do this
04:27when the angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said,
04:32Joseph, son of David,
04:34do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife,
04:37because she has conceived what is in her by the Holy Spirit.
04:42She will give birth to a son,
04:44and you must name him Jesus.
04:46Because he is the one who is to save his people from their sins.
04:51Now all this took place to fulfill the words spoken by the Lord through the prophet.
04:57The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son,
05:00and they will call him Emmanuel,
05:03a name which means God is with us.
05:14Today is the feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
05:22Mary was chosen by God for a particular special vocation,
05:27to be the mother of Jesus.
05:30She has also chosen to be the first Christian disciple,
05:34a great role model for us all,
05:37as well as mother of the church, our mother.
05:41Like her, we are called in our own particular vocations,
05:45to say yes to her, to God,
05:48like she said yes to God.
05:50And to do so, not just when it's easy,
05:52but when sometimes it is not so easy.
05:56We are reminded that she is part of our church family,
06:01as mother,
06:03as helper,
06:04as role model.
06:11Blessed are you, Lord God of all creation,
06:14for to your goodness we have this bread to offer,
06:16which earth has given,
06:17human hands have made,
06:18it will become for us the bread of life.
06:21Blessed be God forever.
06:22By the mystery of this water and wine,
06:25we will be done this way.
06:27Amen.
06:28Amen.
06:29Amen.
06:31Amen.
06:31Amen.
06:31Amen.
06:48Let us pray, brothers and sisters,
06:56that my sacrifice and yours may be acceptable
06:59to God, our almighty Father.
07:01May the Lord accept this sacrifice at your hands
07:04for the praise and glory of his name,
07:06for our good and the good of all his holy church.
07:08May the humanity of your only begotten Son
07:11come, O Lord, to our aid.
07:13And may he who had his birth from the Virgin
07:16did not diminish but consecrated her the integrity
07:20by taking from us now our wicked deeds
07:23make our oblation acceptable to you
07:26through Christ our Lord.
07:28Amen.
07:28Amen.
07:34The Lord be with you.
07:35And with your spirit.
07:36Lift up your heart.
07:38We lift them up to the Lord.
07:39Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.
07:41It is right and just.
07:42It is truly right and just,
07:44our duty and our salvation,
07:46always and everywhere,
07:47to give you thanks,
07:49Lord, Holy, Father, almighty,
07:51and eternal God,
07:52and to praise, bless, and glorify your name
07:55as we remember the nativity
07:58of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
08:00For by the overshadowing of the Holy Spirit
08:02she conceived her only begotten Son
08:04who without losing the glory of virginity
08:07brought forth into the world the eternal light,
08:10Jesus Christ your Son.
08:12Through him the angels praise you,
08:15dominions adore,
08:16and powers tremble before you.
08:18Heaven and the virtues of heaven
08:20and the blessed seraphim
08:21worship together with exaltation.
08:24May our voices, we pray,
08:26join with this in humble praise
08:28as we acclaim
08:29Holy, Holy, Holy Lord,
08:33God of hosts,
08:34heaven and earth are full of your glory,
08:37Hosanna in the highest.
08:39Blessed is he who comes
08:41in the name of the Lord,
08:44Hosanna in the highest.
08:46Yes, you are indeed holy, O Lord,
08:48the fount of all holiness.
08:50May holy therefore these gifts, we pray,
08:52by sending down your Spirit upon them
08:55like the dewfall
08:56so that they may become for us
08:58the body and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ.
09:02At the time he was betrayed
09:04and entered willingly into this passion,
09:07he took bread
09:08and giving thanks broke it
09:10and gave it to his disciples saying,
09:13Take this, all of you, and eat of it,
09:16for this is my body
09:18which will be given up for you.
09:25In a similar way,
09:27when supper was ended,
09:29he took the chalice
09:30and once more giving thanks,
09:32he gave it to his disciples saying,
09:35Take this, all of you,
09:36and drink from it,
09:38for this is the chalice of my blood,
09:41the blood of the you
09:42and eternal covenant
09:44which will be poured out for you
09:47and for many for the forgiveness of sins.
09:51Do this in memory of me.
10:01The mystery of faith,
10:03save us, Savior of the world,
10:05for by your cross and resurrection
10:07you have set us free.
10:10Therefore, as we celebrate
10:12the memorial of his death and resurrection,
10:15we offer you, Lord,
10:16the bread of life
10:17and the chalice of salvation,
10:18giving thanks that you've held us worthy
10:21to be in your presence
10:23and minister to you.
10:25Humbly we pray
10:27that partaking of the body
10:29and blood of Christ,
10:30we may be gathered into one
10:32by the Holy Spirit.
10:34Lord, remember your church
10:36spread throughout the world
10:37and bring her to the fullness of charity
10:39together with Leo, our Pope
10:41and with Charles, our Bishop here present
10:45and all the clergy.
10:47Remember also our brothers and sisters,
10:49especially Vera Ward
10:50and Ward and Semen families
10:53and all those who will die today
10:54and all who have fallen asleep
10:56in the hope of the resurrection
10:57and all who have died in your mercy,
11:00welcome them into the light of your presence.
11:03Have mercy on us all.
11:04We pray that with the blessed Virgin Mary,
11:06Mother of God,
11:07with the blessed apostles,
11:09with Saint Columban
11:10and all the saints
11:11who have pleased you
11:11throughout the ages,
11:13we may merit to be co-heirs
11:14to eternal life
11:15and may praise and glorify you
11:18through your Son, Jesus Christ.
11:23Through him and with him and in him,
11:26O God Almighty, Father,
11:28in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
11:31all glory and honour is yours
11:32forever and ever.
11:35Amen.
11:36At the Saviour's command
11:37that form a divine teaching
11:39we dare to say,
11:40Our Father,
11:41who art in heaven,
11:44hallowed be thy name.
11:46Thy kingdom come,
11:48thy will be done,
11:49on earth as it is in heaven.
11:52Give us this day
11:54our daily bread
11:55and forgive us our trespasses
11:58as we forgive those
12:00who trespass against us
12:02and lead us not into temptation
12:05but deliver us from evil.
12:07Deliver us, Lord,
12:08we pray,
12:09from every evil.
12:10Graciously grant peace
12:12in our days
12:12that by the help
12:14of your mercy
12:14we may be always
12:16free from sin
12:17and safe from all distress
12:19as we await
12:20the blessed hope
12:21and the coming
12:22of our Saviour,
12:23Jesus Christ.
12:24For the kingdom,
12:25the power and the glory
12:27are yours
12:27now and forever.
12:30Lord Jesus Christ,
12:31we said,
12:32dear apostles,
12:33peace I leave you,

13:33Happy are those
13:34who are called
13:34to the supper of the Lamb.
13:36Lord,
13:37I am not worthy
13:38that you should enter
13:39under my roof,
13:40but only say the word
13:42and my soul
13:43shall be healed.
13:44My Jesus,
13:45I believe that you are present

13:52into my soul.
13:53Since I cannot now

14:41and remain always with you.

14:44and live the gospel
14:45and proclaim it
14:47by our lives.
