00:05So I will show you how to enable the Xbox gaming features and settings available in
00:09Windows 11 so you can get your PC ready for gaming.

00:21Now to do this, from your desktop, the first thing you're going to want to make sure
00:25is that your Windows 11 computer or laptop is up to date.
00:28So from your desktop, if you come down to your search box in the task part at the bottom,
00:32in here, you want to type settings and then open up your settings underneath best match.
00:37Once you've done that, come over to the menu on the left hand side and click onto Windows
00:41update.
00:42And if there's any updates available, what you want to do is install those first of all
00:46and then restart your computer.
00:48After installing any available updates, what you want to do is come back into your settings,
00:53come over to the menu on the left and click onto gaming.
00:57From here, you're going to find the Xbox mode feature.
01:00So give that a click.
01:01That's going to take you to a screen like this.
01:03And from here, you're going to see an option to enable Xbox mode.
01:06So what you want to do is turn the switch on and you can also show Xbox mode in task
01:10view
01:10by turning the switch on as well.
01:12Now, once you've done that, what you can do is close down your settings.
01:15And if you come to your search box and type Xbox.
01:18What you then want to do is open up the Xbox app on your Windows 11 computer or laptop.
01:23So as you can see, it's currently just launching through.
01:26Once that's done, you'll be taken into the Xbox app and you should get a pop up asking
01:31if you want to enter Xbox mode just in the top right hand corner.
01:34So what you want to do is just click got it down here and that's going to enable Xbox
01:39mode where you can go ahead and do things like connect your Xbox controller and it basically
01:43simulates an Xbox on your computer or laptop.
