00:00Maybe a World Series battle. Who knows? Tampa Bay and Atlanta in Truist Field in the south here.
00:07We've got Peralta, A.J. Smith-Shauver, Tuesday matchup, McClanahan-Holmes, Nick Martinez, and Sale.
00:14Talk about an unpredictable series. This is definitely one of them.
00:18I would say Sale gives a very big advantage on Thursday, but beyond that,
00:24Freddie Peralta is as coin flip as it gets these days.
00:27And even with McClanahan back, he's a little bit of coin flip as well.
00:30So I don't know. I'll just sit back and watch this series. What do you think, Tom?
00:34I think the series is going to be super fun, and frankly, I'm just going to be playing the series
00:37with what people like to call a zigzag.
00:39You start on one side, you just go back to the other side.
00:41If Team A wins Game 1, I'll just be on Team B Game 2.
00:45I think this is largely a coin flip series, and it's going to be super fun.
00:49Astros and Phillies. Actually, a pretty good pitching matchup across the board here was Neske's been better for Houston,
00:55and Andrew Painter's been really good all of a sudden for Philadelphia, so maybe that's a good one here.
01:01Hunter Brown, Christopher Sanchez, yeah, give me some of that.
01:05And then Thursday, Christian Javier and Zach Wheeler.
01:09I think for Philadelphia right now, that Thursday matchup is probably the big one
01:12because they've got to get Wheeler right here before the postseason.
01:16Now, Ranger Suarez is going to start a postseason game,
01:19and I definitely think that Christopher Sanchez is going to start one, too,
01:24but they've got to get Wheeler going in the right direction here a little more, Tom.
01:28I would also say the same thing about the Astros.
01:30We know Hunter Brown's going to start presumably game one of a postseason series.
01:35Who's there, too?
01:36That's what I want to know for the Astros because Wisniewski's been good.
01:40It's been hot.
01:40Peter Lambert.
01:41It's going to be Christian Javier.
01:42It's like, who's their number two?
01:43And I think that this is a good proving point for them.
01:46They need to know who their number two guy is because Painter's been good on the other side.
01:50If they can't take that series, they're going into a tough place to pitch.
01:53So I see this as more of a proving point for the Astros than the Phillies.
01:57Probably end of the line here for the Pittsburgh Pirates if they do not win the series in Chicago.
02:02This has got to happen.
02:04Again, it's been, I think, overall a disappointing season for the Pirates
02:08because they had a real opportunity to be in the wild card mix,
02:11and they're still kind of in it, but got to win this week.
02:15And they got Chandler, Jarrett Jones, and Majinski.
02:18Majinski's been on the positive side.
02:20Jones has been on the negative side.
02:22Davis Martin is back off the injured list, but he has not been himself, too.
02:26My gosh, the White Sox are winning the division with these three guys pitching this week.
02:31I don't think the White Sox are going very far in the postseason, Tom.
02:34No, not at all.
02:35I'll take whoever's against them in the first round.
02:37I got to say for the Pirates, as you mentioned,
02:39the Pirates still have a positive run differential on Labor.
02:42That's unbelievable.
02:43The Pirates have a positive run differential in September,
02:45and they're not in a wild card mix.
02:47The pitching needs to step up just a little bit.
02:50They need to get more hitting, but the White Sox take this series.
02:53Rangers and Mariners.
02:55Bryce Miller, is he back in the rotation?
02:57Okay, that's fine.
02:59Kate Anderson, Logan Gilbert.
03:02Maybe this is somebody puts the other away, Tom, like I said earlier.
03:06This is one where if one team sweeps, the other team is out.
03:10But beyond that, I don't trust either side.
03:12I can't possibly trust either side.
03:14The Rangers have let me down time and time again.
03:16The Mariners also let me down time and time again.
03:19It's going to be a boring series.
03:21It's very important, but boring.
03:25Rockies, Yankees.
03:26Who do you got in this one as we close it out?
03:29I mean, when Cole, Schlittler, Rodon are pitching,
03:31these are going to be insane prices.
03:33I think he's minus 250, pushing a minus 300.
03:36The Yankees, at a minimum, need to take two of the games,
03:38but this is a spot if Judge does come back,
03:40there's no softer landing spot for him to have against this pitching staff.
03:44Yeah, I would agree.
03:46I look at the Yankees, and I see Garrett Cole,
03:48and I think to myself, Garrett Cole, Gabriel Hughes,
03:52is it possible that Tuesday and Wednesday, Tom, I'll leave you with this,
03:56are we getting minus 400 on Monday or Tuesday?
04:00No, 300, yes, but more than that's a bit much to swallow.
04:05All right, I'm going to check back with Tom on that.
04:07I think we are getting minus 400 in these games on Tuesday and Wednesday.
