00:05So if you are getting the Roblox Error Code 262 when you're trying to play Roblox,
00:09I'll be showing you how to fix your Roblox Error Code 262 and get back into your Roblox games.

00:24tech guides. So to do this, what you want to do is come to your desktop.
00:29Once you're on your desktop, if you come to your search box in the taskbar at the bottom,
00:33and in here, you want to type view network connections underneath best match,
00:38you should see view network connections come up, give that a click.
00:41And that's going to open up a window like this from here.
00:44You want to find your wifi connection, which you're going to be able to find
00:48because it's got the green bars and not the crosses.
00:50And then what you want to do is right click onto your wifi connection.
00:54So basically you want to click it first, right click to bring up this menu
00:57and then come and click onto properties.
01:00What that's going to do is open up the wifi properties window.
01:02And from here, you want to find internet protocol version for TCP IPv4, which this one here,
01:09give it a click to select it and then come and click onto properties.
01:13And once you've done that, you're going to get another window open.
01:16What you want to do is come down to the second section and choose the option to use the following
01:21DNS server addresses. So what you can now do is enter the Google DNS.
01:26So in the preferred DNS server, you want to put 8.8.8.8.
01:32And in alternative DNS, you want to put 8.8.4.4.
01:38Once that's done, take the box here, which says validate settings upon exit,
01:42and then click onto okay. What you can then do is close all this down,
01:45launch Roblox, and you should now be able to play without the error code 262.
01:49If it's still not working for you, then if you are using a VPN, you want to turn that off,
01:53as sometimes using a VPN can cause this error code to happen.
01:57So if you actually come down to your search box in here, just type VPN and then settings,
02:02and then open up your VPN settings underneath best match.
02:06Now from here, as you can see, I've currently got no VPNs, but if you do have a VPN showing,
02:11you can turn it off from here. And again, that should enable you to now play
02:14Roblox without the error code 262. So that's how to fix Roblox error code 262.
