00:00In this video, I will show you how to fix Roblox Studio not launching with several
00:05simple troubleshooting steps you can try on your computer or laptop.
00:09Whether Roblox Studio won't open, gets stuck loading crashes immediately,
00:12or just simply does nothing when you click it,
00:15I'll walk you through some solutions that can help get Roblox Studio working again.

00:28So to get started with this from your desktop, what you want to do is come down to your taskbar
00:33and just right click onto a blank space of your taskbar.
00:37Then what you want to do is click to open up your task manager.
00:40Once that's opened, what you want to do is use the search box at the top,
00:44type Roblox into here.
00:45And if you see anything coming up related to Roblox, you want to end this task.
00:50So just simply click onto it, right click and then click onto end task.
00:54You just want to go ahead and repeat this for everything related to Roblox until nothing is
00:59showing up.
01:00Once that's done, close down your task manager.
01:03And what you want to do now is come down to your search box in the taskbar at the bottom.
01:07In here, type run and then open up run underneath best match.
01:11So once you've done that in the run box, in the bottom left hand corner,
01:14you want to type a percent symbol followed by local app data, and then another percent symbol.
01:20Once you've done that, click onto OK, and that's going to load up a folder like this.
01:25So what you want to do now is look for the Roblox folder.
01:28It's in alphabetical order.
01:29So if you just scroll down to R, you should see Roblox,
01:32double click to open up the Roblox folder.
01:34And then what you want to do is look for the versions folder
01:37and double click to go into the versions folder.
01:40Now in here, you should see the Roblox studio installer.
01:43What you want to do is right click onto this and select the option to run as administrator.
01:47It's going to be a permission that pops up.
01:49So click yes.
01:50And hopefully by doing that, that should resolve the problem.
01:53And Roblox studio should now launch successfully.
01:56Now, if that didn't work for you and you're still having problems, it's still not opening.
02:00Then what you can do is if you actually come down to your task manager again,
02:04so you just want to right click onto a blank space of your taskbar and then open up your task
02:09manager.
02:09And again, what you want to do is use the search box at the top, type Roblox,
02:13and then close down anything related to Roblox, which is appearing in your task manager.
02:18Now, once you've done that, what you want to do is come back to this folder here
02:21where it says versions and then come back into the main Roblox folder.
02:26So once you're in the main Roblox folder,
02:28what you want to do is actually delete everything in the Roblox folder.
02:31So if you just simply click on something, hold control and press a on your keyboard,
02:35and then what you want to do is come up to the top,
02:37click onto the trashcan icon just to delete everything in this folder.
02:41This is mainly temporary files. So you're not going to lose any safe data or anything like that.
02:46So you just want to give it a minute or two to run through and fully delete.
02:49And once that's done and your Roblox folder is empty like this,
02:53what you can do is close this window down.
02:55Then what you can do is open up a new internet browser.
03:02And once you've done that, you want to come across to google.com
03:05and just type Roblox Studio download. Give that a search.
03:10And what you want to do is just click onto the top result.
03:13So this should take you to the download page.
03:16You might just need to scroll down to find the download button.
03:19Give that a click. That's going to download this.
03:21And on this window that pops up, just click to open it, click onto download.
03:25And that's going to download the installer again.
03:27Once it's downloaded, just click to run the installer.
03:30And then just run through the steps and just give it a minute or two to install.
03:33And Roblox Studio should now launch successfully.
03:36And you should now be able to use Roblox Studio again.
03:38So that is how to fix Roblox Studio not launching.
