00:00I think the league would force Dundon to stay
00:05because I can't remember how much he bought Portland for,
00:08but it would be nowhere near, I don't think, what Seattle would go for.
00:11A little under $3 billion, if I remember correctly.
00:14Seattle would go for way more than that.
00:16$6 or $7.
00:17Right, so the league would be losing a lot of money on that.
00:20They would never allow Dundon to do that.
00:22If that was his intention, that's idiotic.
00:24Even the Vegas team.
00:26Even the Vegas team.
00:28But here's the problem.
00:30Once these guys own the teams, you can't tell them where they can
00:33and can't take them.
00:34They'll just sue you.
00:35He's already fighting with the local government.
00:39Soon he'll be fighting with his own fans because this is the type of guy he is.
00:43He'll be fighting with his own fans.
00:45No one will go to the games.
00:47And at that point, he'll just be pissed, period.
00:50And he'll take the team and take it.
00:52This smells like what happened in Seattle.
00:56It does.
00:57Think about the way this transpired in Seattle.
01:00Initially, they wanted a new stadium.
01:01They didn't get the new stadium.
01:03And then the owner got pissy with the city.
01:06And then the owner got the league involved.
01:08And the league got pissy with the city.
01:10And once you get pissy with the city, you're basically getting pissy with the taxpayers.
01:14And the taxpayers was like, well, whatever.
01:17Get out, I guess.
01:18And they got out.
01:21This smells like what he's trying to do in Portland.
01:26He got the city mad at him first.
01:28Then he's going to get the fan base mad at him.
01:30And once the fan base turns on you, you can literally turn to the league and say, nobody supports me
01:36here.
01:36I need to find another location.
01:39Woe is me.
01:40Like, oh, look at all these bad things.
01:42Oh, my billions.
01:43Oh, my billions.
01:44Oh, man.
01:46You know how I felt about Angels fans.
01:48I was so happy for them.
01:50I feel so bad for Portland fans because you look at Portland as a basketball team, they're actually pretty good.
01:56They have some really good players.
01:57They got more guards than you need, but they're ready.
01:59But they have some good players.
02:02And they have a good team.
02:03And they made the playoffs for the first time in like five years last year.
02:06And I've been up to Portland.
02:07And it's a different city than what players.
02:10A funky place, boy.
02:11Yeah.
02:12It's a weird place.
02:13But I just feel like that fan base, when you have a team, that's all they can do.
02:19Like, look at Oregon.
02:20You can go to the Oregon Ducks game.
02:22You can go to the Oregon State games.
02:23But the only professional team is the Portland Trailblazers.
02:27That's right.
02:27And they show up for that team.
02:29They treat it with love and respect.
02:31And it just makes me sad that the Paul Allen Trust allowed this man to purchase the team because that's
02:41how this happened.
02:42This is unbelievable to me.
02:44How we keep getting into these situations where these teams sell to these bad owners or the ownership goes wrong.
02:52The Lakers are kind of in the middle.
02:54We don't know what Iger and Kushner are going to do for that organization.
02:57We don't know.
02:58We do know they don't have $10 billion.
03:01This is what we do know.
03:03This is what we do know.
