00:06I spoke to current and former Apple employees who saw Ternus at a recent event and described
00:11him as confident and at ease for someone about to step into the top job. Ternus has a pretty
00:16interesting background. He's been called the man of the people because he's sat with regular Apple
00:21employees when he could have had his own executive office. There's a few hurdles Ternus is going to
00:26need to navigate now that he's CEO. Competitors like OpenAI and Meta are now in the hardware game
00:31and he needs to help Apple refine its AI strategy. One thing analysts told me Apple needs to do to
00:36remain successful is to continue to be careful navigating the Trump administration. That's
00:41something that Ternus will have to learn from Cook. Luckily since Cook is staying on as executive
00:45chairman he can help Ternus get through any problems he may encounter. Ternus is entering a whole new
00:50era for Apple. First of all he's not taking over just a phone company like Cook did. Apple now has
00:55multiple business lines like streaming and services like iCloud so Ternus has to maintain all that
01:01while still finding new ways to innovate and things are also a little bit more politically messy for
01:05Ternus than they were for Cook. It's a whole new world that Ternus and other CEOs are now having to
