00:13In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, the Lord be with you.
00:20Welcome to Mass as we come together to thank Almighty God for the incredible gifts we've
00:27been given, and the Eucharist, the Greek word for thanksgiving, the Eucharist, is the most
00:36perfect word we have of thanking Almighty God for the good things we have.
00:42And we take a moment not only to thank Almighty God, but to recognise our own weakness and
00:47sinfulness, and ask His pardon.
00:57Lord, you are our model of forgiveness.
01:00Lord, have mercy.
01:03Lord, you are our model of reconciliation and healing.
01:07Christ, have mercy.
01:10Lord, you are our model of unconditional love.
01:13Lord, have mercy.
01:16May Almighty God have mercy on us, forgive us our sins, and bring us to life everlasting.
01:27Let us pray.
01:31The God who calls minds, the faithful, unite in a single purpose.
01:37Grant your people to love what you command, and desire what you promise, so that amid the
01:43uncertainties of this world, our hearts may be fixed on that place where true gladness
01:49is found.
01:50We ask this through Christ our Lord.
01:53Let's get this other book.
02:01Our first reading today is from the letter of St. Paul, which he wrote to the people of
02:07Thessalonica.
02:11We instruct you, brothers and sisters, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, to shun anyone
02:19who walks in a disorderly way, and not according to the tradition they receive from us.
02:26For you know how one must imitate us.
02:31For we did not act in a disorderly way among you, nor did we eat food received from anyone.
02:39On the contrary, in toil and drudgery, night and day, we worked so as not to be a burden
02:48on any of you.
02:50Not that we do not have that right.
02:53But rather, we wanted to present ourselves as a model for you, so that you might imitate
02:59us.
03:01In fact, when we were with you, we instructed you that if anyone was unwilling to work, well
03:09neither should that one eat.
03:12May the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way.
03:18May the Lord be with you all.
03:21And this greeting is in my own hand, Paul.
03:26This is the sign in every letter.
03:29This is how I write.
03:31The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with all of you.
03:36The word of the Lord.
03:39And our response to the psalm today is,
03:42Blessed are those who fear the Lord.
03:45Blessed are those who fear the Lord.
03:48Blessed are you who fear the Lord, who walk in his ways.
03:53You who shall eat the fruit of your handiwork.
03:57Blessed shall you be and favour.
04:00Together, blessed are those who fear the Lord.
04:04Behold, thus is the man blessed who fears the Lord.
04:07The Lord bless you from Zion.
04:09May you see the prosperity of Jerusalem all the days of your life.
04:13Blessed are those who fear the Lord.
04:17And the hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah.
04:21Whoever keeps the word of Christ, the love of God is truly perfected in him.
04:28Hallelujah.
04:31The Lord be with you.
04:33A reading from the Holy Gospel according to Matthew.
04:38Jesus said,
04:40Jesus said,
05:07Woe to you, Scribes and Pharisees, you hypocrites.
05:11You build the tombs of the prophets and adorn the memorials of the righteous.
05:16And you say,
05:17If we had lived in the days of our ancestors,
05:20we would not have joined them in shedding the prophets' blood.
05:25And thus you bear witness against yourselves
05:28that you are the children of those who murdered the prophets.
05:32And now fill up what your ancestors measured out.
05:37The Gospel of the Lord.
05:44Blessed are you, Lord, God of all creation.
05:46To your goodness we have received the bread we offer you.
05:49Bread of the earth and work of human hands
05:51that will become for us the bread of life.
05:56By the mist of this water and wine,
05:58may we come to share in the divinity of Christ
06:02who humbled himself to share in our humanity.
06:14Blessed are you, Lord, God of all creation.
06:16For your goodness we have received the wine we offer you.
06:19Bread of the vine and work of human hands
06:21will become our spiritual drink.
06:25Lord God, we ask you to receive us
06:27and we be pleased with the sacred cross.
06:28Lord God, we offer you with humble and contrite hearts.
06:31Lord, wash away my iniquity.
06:34Cleanse me from my sin.
06:44Pray now, my brothers and sisters,
06:46that my sacrifice and yours
06:48may be acceptable to God, the Almighty Father.
06:56O Lord, who gained for yourself a people by adoption
07:00through the one sacrifice offered once and for all,
07:05bestow graciously on us, we pray,
07:08the gifts of unity and peace in your church.
07:12And we ask this through Christ our Lord.
07:16The Lord be with you.
07:18Lift up your hearts.
07:20Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.
07:24It is truly right and just
07:26that you do in our salvation
07:28always and everywhere to give you thanks,
07:30Lord, Holy Father,
07:31Almighty and Eternal God,
07:33through your beloved Son, Jesus Christ,
07:35your Word,
07:36through whom you made all things,
07:38whom you sent as our Saviour and our Redeemer,
07:41incarnate by the Holy Spirit
07:42and born of the Virgin Mary,
07:45fulfilling your will
07:46and gaining for you a holy people.
07:48He stretched out his hands
07:50as he endured his passion
07:51so as to break the bonds of death
07:57and manifest the resurrection.
07:59And so, with the angels and saints,
08:01we declare your glory
08:02as with one voice we acclaim.
08:06Holy, holy, holy Lord God of hosts,
08:09heaven and earth are full of your glory
08:12Hosanna in the highest.
08:14Blessed is he who comes
08:15in the name of the Lord.
08:17Hosanna in the highest.
08:22You are indeed holy, O Lord,
08:24the founder of all holiness.
08:26Make holy, therefore, these gifts, we pray,
08:28by sending down your Spirit upon them
08:30like the dewfall,
08:32so that they may become for us
08:34the body and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ.
08:37At the time he was betrayed
08:39and entered willingly into his passion,
08:42he took bread.
08:43And giving thanks,
08:44he broke it and gave it to his disciples,
08:46saying,
08:47Take this, all of you,
08:48and eat of it.
08:49But this is my body,
08:50which will be given up
08:53for you.
09:17For this is the chalice of my blood.
09:23The blood of the new and eternal covenant
09:25which will be poured out
09:27for you and for many
09:28for the forgiveness of sins.
09:31Do this in memory of me.
09:51The mystery of faith.
09:54You eat this bread and drink this cup.
09:56We proclaim your death, O Lord,
09:58until you come again.
10:00Therefore, as we celebrate the memorial
10:02of his death and resurrection,
10:03we offer you, Lord,
10:05the bread of life and the chalice of salvation,
10:07giving thanks
10:08that you've held us worthy
10:10to be in your presence
10:11and to minister to you.
10:13Humbly we pray
10:14that partaking of the body and blood of Christ,
10:17we may be gathered into one
10:19by the Holy Spirit.
10:21Remember, Lord,
10:22your church spread throughout the world.
10:24Bring it to the fullness of charity,
10:26together with Leo, our Pope,
10:29Charles, our Bishop,
10:30all the clergy
10:31and the whole of God's people.
10:34Remember also our brothers and sisters
10:36who've fallen asleep
10:37in the hope of the resurrection.
10:40And all who have died in your mercy,
10:42welcome them into the light of your face.
10:44Have mercy on us all, we pray,
10:47that with the Blessed Virgin Mary,
10:48Mother of God,
10:49St. Jezefus,
10:50the Blessed Apostles,
10:52and all the saints
10:52who have pleased you throughout the ages,
10:55we may merit to be co-heirs
10:57to eternal life
10:58and may praise and glorify you
11:00through your Son,
11:02Jesus Christ.
11:06Through him and with him
11:07and in him,
11:08O God Almighty,
11:09Father,
11:10in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
11:12all glory and honour is yours
11:13forever and ever.
11:17Let us pray together
11:19another beautiful prayer
11:20that Jesus taught us to pray.
11:22Our Father,
11:24who art in heaven,
11:26hallowed be thy name.
11:27Thy kingdom come,
11:29thy will be done,
11:30on earth as it is in heaven.
11:33Give us this day our daily bread
11:35and forgive us our trespasses
11:37as we forgive those
11:39who trespass against us
11:41and lead us not into temptation
11:43but deliver us from evil.
11:46Deliver us, Lord,
11:47we pray,
11:48from every evil.
11:49Graciously grant peace in our day
11:51for by the help of your mercy
11:53have you always free from sin
11:55and safe from all distress
11:57as we await the blessed hope
11:59and the coming of our Saviour,
12:01Jesus Christ.
12:02For the kingdom,
12:03the power and the glory are yours
12:05now and forever.
12:07Lord Jesus Christ,
12:09you said to your apostles,
12:10Peace I leave you,
12:11my peace I give you.
12:13Look not on our sins
12:15from the faith of your church
12:17and graciously grant her peace and unity
12:20in accordance with your will.
12:21who live and reign forever and ever.
12:24The peace of the Lord
12:26be with you always.
12:28Let us offer each other a sign of peace.
12:31Peace.
12:32Peace now.
12:36Lamb of God,
12:38you take away the sins of the world
12:40have missed on us.
12:42Lamb of God,
12:43you take away the sins of the world
12:45have missed on us.
12:47Lamb of God,
12:48you take away the sins of the world
12:50grant us peace.
13:12Behold the Lamb of God,
13:14behold him who takes away the sins of the world,
13:16blessed are those called
13:18to the supper of the Lamb.
13:20Lord,
13:21I am not worthy
13:23that you should enter under my roof,
13:25but only say the word
13:27and my soul shall be healed.
13:30My Jesus,
13:31I believe that you are present
13:33in the most blessed sacrament.
13:35I love you above all things
13:37and I desire to receive you into my soul.
13:40Since I cannot now receive you sacramentally,
13:43commonly, spiritually into my heart,
13:45I embrace you as if you were already there
13:48and unite myself wholly to you.
13:51Never permit me to be separated from you.
13:54Amen.
13:55Let us pray.
14:00Complete within us, O Lord, we pray,
14:02the healing work of your mercy
14:05and graciously perfect and sustain us
14:09so that in all things we may please you.
14:14And we ask this through Christ our Lord.
14:17The Lord be with you.
14:19May Almighty God bless you,
14:22Father, Son and the Holy Spirit.
14:26Let us go in peace now
14:27to love and serve for all.
14:31Thank you, everybody.
14:32I hope you have a very beautiful, beautiful day.
14:35God bless you.
