Transcript
00:15Today is the feast of the Archangels Michael, Gabriel and Raphael, those great
00:21messengers and manifestations of God's power. In the name of the Father and of
00:26the Son and of the Holy Spirit, peace be with you. We acknowledge our sins but
00:32more importantly compassion, the mercy and the love of God. Lord have mercy, Christ
00:41have mercy, Lord have mercy. May Almighty God have mercy on us, forgive
00:48us our sins and lead us into healing and life everlasting. Glory to God in the
00:55highest. On the earth, peace to people of goodwill. We praise you, we bless you, we
01:01adore you, we glorify you. We give you thanks for your great glory. Lord God,
01:08heavenly King, O God Almighty Father, Lord Jesus Christ, Only Begotten Son, Lord God,
01:17Lamb of God, Son of the Father, you take away the sins of the world, have mercy on us.
01:24You take away the sins of the world, we receive our prayer. You are seated at the
01:31right hand of the Father, have mercy on us. For you alone are the Holy One, you alone are the
01:38Lord, you alone are the Most High, Jesus Christ, with the Holy Spirit, in the glory of God the Father.
01:46Amen. Let us pray.
01:48O God, O God, who disposes in marvelous order, ministries, both angelic and human,
01:56graciously grant, graciously grant, that our life on earth may be defended by those who watch over us, as they
02:03minister perpetually to you in heaven.
02:06Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
02:12God, forever and ever. Amen.
02:16A reading from the prophet Daniel.
02:19As I watched, thrones were set in place, and one of great age took his seat. His robe was white
02:27as snow, the hair of his head as pure as wood.
02:30His throne was a blaze of flames. Its wheels were a burning fire. A stream of fire pulled. The books
02:41were opened.
02:42I gazed into the visions of the night, and I saw coming on the clouds of heaven, one like a
02:49son of man.
02:49He came to the one of great age, and was led into his presence. On him, when conferred, sovereignty, glory,
02:59and kingship.
03:00And people from all nations, languages, became his servants. His sovereignty is an eternal sovereignty, which shall never pass away,
03:12nor will his empire ever be destroyed.
03:16The word of the Lord.
03:19Thanks be to God.
03:21In the sight of the angels, I will sing your praises, Lord.
03:25In the sight of the angels, I will sing your praises, Lord.
03:30I thank you, Lord, with all my heart. You have heard the words of my mouth.
03:34In the presence of the angels, I will bless you. I will adore before your holy temple.
03:39In the sight of the angels, I will sing your praises, Lord.
03:43I thank you, Lord. I thank you for your faithfulness and love, which excelled all we ever knew of you.
03:50On the day I called, you answered. You increased the strength of my soul.
03:55In the sight of the angels, I will sing your praises, Lord.
03:59All the earth's kings, I thank you, when they hear the words of your mouth.
04:05They will sing of the Lord's ways. How great is the glory of the Lord.
04:10In the sight of the angels, I will sing your praises, Lord.
04:15Alleluia, alleluia. Bless the Lord, O his angels, his ministers, through his will. Alleluia.
04:24The Lord be with you. And with your spirit. A reading from the Holy Gospel according to John.
04:30Glory to you, O Lord.
04:31When Jesus saw Nathaniel coming, he said to him,
04:35There is an Israelite who deserves the name, incapable of deceit.
04:41How do you know me? said Nathaniel.
04:44Before Philip came to call you, said Jesus, I saw you under the fig tree.
04:49Nathaniel answered, Rabbi, you are the Son of God.
04:53You are the King of Israel.
04:56Jesus replied, You believe that just because I said I saw you under the fig tree?
05:03You will see greater things than that.
05:06And then he added, I tell you most solemnly,
05:09You will see heaven laid open and above the Son of Man,
05:13the angels of God ascending and descending.
05:17The Gospel of the Lord.
05:19Praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ.
05:23So many mysteries in this universe, so much bigger than us.
05:27We certainly know clearly from scriptures and from the teachings of the church
05:31and the belief of Jesus himself, of the reality of angels.
05:36The three archangels are the ones who were great manifestations of God's power,
05:43God's grandeur, God's healing.
05:47And today we name those three archangels, special messengers of God.
05:53Michael, who defeated the devil.
05:55Gabriel, the one who announced our salvation.
05:57Isn't Raphael, the one who brings healing and helps travelers on their journey.
06:06The most important thing is God's glory manifest in so many ways.
06:10Through his providence, through his angels, through each other.
06:14We thank God for the amazing mysteries that we are surrounded by.
06:19In confirmation, the prayer comes that says,
06:24Let us have a sense of all, a sense of the mystery.
06:28Let us never lose sight of that mystery.
06:43Blessed are you, Lord God of all creation.
06:46For to your goodness we have this bread to offer,
06:48which our church has given human hands have made.
06:50It will become for us the bread of life.
07:09Blessed are you, Lord God of all creation.
07:12For to your goodness we have this wine to offer,
07:15fruit of divine work of human hands.
07:17It will become our spiritual drink.
07:20Let us be God forever.
07:25Let us pray, brothers and sisters,
07:27that my sacrifice and yours may be acceptable to God, our Almighty Father.
07:32May the Lord accept the sacrifice at your hands
07:36for the praise and glory of his name,
07:39for our good and the good of all his holy church.
07:41We offer you a sacrifice of praise, O Lord,
07:45humbly and treating that as these gifts are born
07:48by the ministry of angels into the presence of your majesty,
07:53so you may receive them favorably
07:56and make them profitable for our salvation,
07:59through Christ our Lord.
08:01Amen.
08:03The Lord be with you.
08:05And with your spirit.
08:06Lift up your hearts.
08:07Lift them up to the Lord.
08:09Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.
08:11It is right and just.
08:13It is truly right and just,
08:14our duty and our salvation,
08:16always and everywhere to give you thanks,
08:19Lord, Holy Father,
08:20Almighty and eternal God,
08:22and to praise you without end
08:24in your archangels and angels.
08:27For the honour we pay the angelic creatures
08:30in whom you delight
08:31redounds to your own surpassing glory.
08:35And by their great dignity and splendour
08:38you show how infinitely great you are
08:41to be exalted above all things,
08:44through Christ our Lord.
08:46Through him the multitude of angels
08:48extors your majesty
08:50and we are united with them
08:52in exultant adoration
08:54as with one voice
08:55we praise you
08:56and acclaim
08:58Holy, Holy, Holy Lord,
09:01God of hosts,
09:03heaven and earth are full of your glory.
09:06Hosanna in the highest.
09:08Blessed is he who comes
09:10in the name of the Lord.
09:12Hosanna in the highest.
09:14You are indeed holy, O Lord,
09:16the fount of our holiness.
09:18Make holy, therefore,
09:19these gifts we pray
09:20by sending down your spirit upon them
09:22like the youthful,
09:23so that they may become for us
09:25the body and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ.
09:28At the time he was betrayed
09:30and entered willingly into his passion
09:33he took bread.
09:34And giving thanks, broke it
09:36and gave it to his disciples,
09:39saying,
09:39Take this, all of you,
09:41and eat of it,
09:42for this is my body
10:02the blood of the new and eternal covenant,
10:08which will be pulled out for you and for many for the forgiveness of sins.
10:13Do this in memory of me.
10:39Do this in memory of me.
10:43your presence and minister to you.
10:46Humbly we pray
10:47that partaking of the body and blood of Christ
10:49we may be gathered into one
10:51by the Holy Spirit.
10:54Remember, Lord,
10:55your church spread throughout the world
10:56and bring her to the fullness of charity.
10:59Together with Leo, our Pope,
11:02meet your unworthy servant
11:03and all the clergy.
11:06Remember also our brothers and sisters
11:08who have fallen asleep in the hope of the resurrection
11:11and all who have died in your mercy.
11:14Welcome them into the light of your face.
11:17Have mercy on us all, we pray,
11:20that with the blessed Virgin Mary,
11:21Mother of God,
11:23blessed Joseph, her spouse,
11:24with the blessed apostles,
11:26and all the saints
11:28who have pleased you throughout the ages,
11:31we may merit to be coerced to eternal life
11:34and may praise and glorify you
11:37through your Son, Jesus Christ.
11:41Through him and with him and in him,
11:44O God, almighty Father,
11:45in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
11:47all glory and honour is yours
11:49for ever and ever.
11:51Amen.
11:52At the Saviour's command
11:54and formed by divine teaching,
11:56we dare to say,
11:58O Father, who art in heaven,
12:00hallowed be thy name,
12:02thy kingdom come,
12:04thy will be done on earth
12:06as it is in heaven.
12:08Give us this day our daily bread
12:10and forgive us our trespasses
12:13as we forgive those
12:15who trespass against us
12:17and lead us not into temptation,
12:19but deliver us from evil.
12:22Deliver us, Lord, we pray,
12:23from every evil.
12:25Graciously grant peace in our days
12:27that by the help of your mercy
12:29we may be always free from sin
12:31and safe from all distress
12:33as we await the blessed hope
12:35and the coming of our Saviour,
12:37Jesus Christ.
12:38For the kingdom,
12:40the power,
12:40and the glory are yours,
12:42now and forever.

12:45who sent your apostles,

12:51but on the faith of your church

12:55with your will,
12:57who live and reign forever and ever.

13:42to the supper of the Lamb.
13:43Lord, I am not worthy
13:45that you should enter under my roof,
13:47but only say the word,
13:48and my soul shall be healed.
13:50My Jesus,
13:52I believe that you are present
13:53in the most blessed sacrament.
13:55I love you above all things,
13:57and I desire to receive you into my soul.
14:00Since I cannot now receive you sacramentally,
14:03come at least spiritually into my heart.
14:06I embrace you as if you were already there,
14:08and unite myself wholly to you.
14:11Never permit me to be separated from you.
14:15Amen.
14:16Let us pray.
14:18Having been nourished with heavenly bread,
14:21we beseech you humbly, O Lord,
14:23drawing from it new strength,
14:25under the faithful protection of your angels,
14:28we may advance boldly along the way of salvation,
14:31through Christ our Lord.
14:33Amen.
14:35The Lord be with you.
14:36And with your spirit.
14:37And may the peace and the blessing
