00:38the course that you have chosen is not a wise course in these circumstances,
00:47particularly when these matters are currently being addressed
00:53and under consideration of the very organs of the PNM mandated to treat with them in this constitution

01:10Opposition Chief Whip and PNM Chairman Marvin Gonzalez said Mr. Manning is not an ordinary member of the PNM.
01:18So to my colleague again reiterating what Dr. Brown said and his calls a short while ago,
01:25Mr. Manning might be engaging or going down a very dangerous path that is not good
01:34for the interests of the People's National Movement.
01:37Given that the parliament is due to return from its recess soon,
01:40TV6 News is sought to find out from the Chief Whip if he is concerned about the San Fernando East
01:46MP's loyalty
01:47to the PNM's parliamentary caucus.
01:50I don't foresee that that will have any issue with respect to how the PNM handles its affairs in the
01:57parliament
01:57and as to whether or not it will cause any issue with respect to how we vote on important matters
02:03in the caucus
02:04because they are two completely separate issues.
02:07Mr. Manning has issues with his colleagues in the executive.
02:13I don't see that as having any impact on his loyalty to the caucus as a member of parliament,
02:23a PNM member of parliament.
02:25Mr. Manning a few hours earlier during an interview on the TV6 Morning Edition
02:29made clear his loyalty to the PNM as he continued to express his concerns about the operations
02:35of the party's constituency operations in San Fernando East.
02:39Now that the constituency executive has resigned,
02:42it is the responsibility of the leadership of the party
02:47to ensure that a body, a committee approved by the general counsel of the party
02:55to go in and ensure that we have the elections taking place
03:00and an executive appointed to manage the constituency
03:04and to support the member of parliament.
03:07The chief whip said the PNM, via its internal processes,
03:10investigated the issue in record time.
