00:04and I'm a Technical Officer at the College of Agriculture in Kunderden.
00:08My role is the management of an 80 sow farrow to finish intensive piggery. Its purpose is to
00:14train students using current practices and technologies to prepare them for a career in
00:18pork or wider agriculture. Being a Cert 2 and 3 trainer involves creating and delivering content,
00:25hands-on practical learning and assessing competence. In addition to on-site training,
00:30students also gain industry exposure through abattoir tours, farm visits, shows and field days.
00:36The highlight for the Cert 3 pork is probably the Perth Royal Show where students will prepare
00:41and show some of our own college pigs. I've been nominated for the Next Gen Agri Leader Award.
