00:00My name is Alison Dakin and I'm a finalist in the Women in Agriculture section for the
00:04Australian Agricultural Award for Western Australia. I am the CAPCO Beef Manager and
00:10the Executive Officer of CAPCO, Kimberley Agriculture and Pastoral Company, which is
00:14an Aboriginal-owned pastoral company operating in the northwest corner of WA and I'm based
00:20on Myrata Station, which is one and a half hours south of Derby or about three hours
00:24east of Broome. CAPCO is a pastoral operation running a mix of Droughtmaster, Brahmin and
00:31Shorthorn cattle and from that we also produce CAPCO Beef, which is a beef brand producing
00:37affordable quality protein that's sold back into Aboriginal communities across Western
00:42Australia and also into the Northern Territory. CAPCO Beef was a dream of the directors of
00:48CAPCO for many years and it has been an absolute pleasure of mine to be able to deliver on that
00:53dream for the CAPCO board and for its shareholders and to be able to provide such a quality product
00:59back into the communities from which our shareholders are from. Alongside my work in CAPCO I'm a
01:06mum of five and a grandmother of three and I work alongside my husband Greg.
