00:01:10alright let's take a look at the Orioles lineup now
00:01:12and Singy against the southpaw on the mound
00:01:15the skippers loaded this lineup with righty bats
00:01:17certainly following the conventional wisdom here Boog
00:01:21that extra split second can make a big difference for a hitter
00:01:24so these righty batters will need to take advantage
00:01:27and make this tactical move pay off

00:01:33looking to build momentum towards the postseason
00:01:36and a win here would certainly not

00:01:40man that's one of those at bats where you have to remind yourself

00:21:27Usually doesn't work out for success, but you can never predict baseball.

00:22:09breaking ball drops in for a strike well this guy's so comfortable hitting with two strikes
00:22:14even a good pitch early in the at-bat if he's not ready to pull the trigger he's not worried
00:22:18if he gets to an 0-2 count into center field that'll fall for a hit and that's a one

00:22:25really nice job a two-strike hitting in that at-bat you'll often hear the phrase
00:22:28short to it long through it and that's a great example of it right there got the barrel in the
00:22:34hitting zone early squared it up with the well-timed swing and came away with a beautiful
00:22:38line drive in the center field here's gavin lux to hit
00:22:55this one in the year center field cows are under it and there are two down
00:23:05up next for the race center fielder johnny de luca

00:23:29generally second third time through the lineup you want to be able to lean on those secondary
00:23:33pitches and command them looks like he's doing a nice job of it swing and a high fly ball out
00:23:40towards
00:23:40right center field makes a nice running catch that is the inning one left for tampa they trail it here

00:23:53welcome back to the ballpark as we check out the current playoff picture
00:24:05and that drops in for a strike you know these orioles simply put are producing a lot of quality
00:24:12swings they've hit seven line drives already and even though some of them have been for outs there's
00:24:17nothing wrong with delivering consistent hard contact that's almost always going to lead to positive
00:24:22results so a runner aboard to start the inning i'd say a mistake pitch in an 0-2 count too
00:24:29good of a pitch to hit right there you have to expand the zone
00:24:32keep that leadoff man off first base
00:24:37with all those extra base hits it's easy to think we're going to see that trend continue the rest of
00:24:41the game
00:24:42they seem to be really locked in at the plate and that's through there for a strike and the count
00:24:47is 0-2
00:24:52rip to third and caught it's never fun going back to the dugout after hitting the line drive that finds
00:24:58a glove but you will get some high fives you know when you make great contact you feel like you've

00:25:03everything right but in this game of baseball not everything is in your control henderson at the plate
00:25:09now and that's strike one

00:25:16in the air left field simpson under it and there are two outs
00:25:27up next for the orioles the designated hitter the polar bear as he was dubbed by
00:25:32his former teammate todd frazier
00:25:38and he swings and misses at the initial offering sold it really well with the arm speed
00:25:45swung underneath it so change up that stayed a little bit more on plane than
00:25:49what he was anticipating and that is that
00:25:55one left for the orioles they're up to nothing
00:26:01back now in tampa bay and stepping in for the rays hesson kim
00:26:10well these rays just are putting great swings on the baseball in this one just
00:26:15one extra base hit for him so they haven't exactly been hitting the ball gap to gap or out of
00:26:20the park
00:26:20that makes it really difficult to generate runs
00:26:26the one-one
00:26:30line and that's a base hit
00:26:34and that'll bring the tying run to the plate
00:26:37i could watch base hits like that but all day long and so could every hitting coach in the league

00:26:43nice line drive in the center field and now they've got some speed on first so we'll see if they
00:26:47try to get
00:26:48him into motion
00:26:52strength on the inside corner and either way the results aren't what they want and they're probably
00:26:58feeling a little overmatched in the box quick move to first kim back in on a dive

00:28:56immediately pumps in a strike to the left-handed hitter at the dish looking to lift the ball in
00:29:00the air in this spot anything but the inning inning double play boot
00:29:07hit on the ground the short dive and he's got it throws from the seat of his pants he's safe
00:29:12he beats it
00:29:13i love when guys leave their feet with the purpose and that's what he did right there by
00:29:18laying out and keeping that ball on the infield he probably saved the run from scoring and i know it's
00:29:24an infield hit and they're threatening but for now that was a big play so bases all loaded up
00:29:30jonathan aronga the next to hit golden opportunity right here
00:29:36that one finds the zone going one
00:29:41one out the possible tying and go ahead runs on base
00:29:49now one missed movement in the bullpen albert suarez up and throwing
00:29:59and fouled off
00:30:04oh man that's a tough one to swallow had the distance just couldn't keep it fair
00:30:11imagine how great that feels running around the bases when you've just hit a granny
00:30:14he's got to dig back in figure out a way maybe he can do it again

00:30:36the tying run is into score and we are starting over well here we are third time through the order
00:30:42and this is where we see the ops jump off manager might have to go to the bullpen a little
