00:26on natural gas supplies.
00:29The Prime Minister, in reference to new gas supply deals, said this means more than energy, it means jobs, foreign
00:37exchange, government revenue, industrial activity and new opportunities for the people of Trinidad and Tobago.
00:43Last week, Prime Minister Pasad-Basasa announced that global energy giant BP and Trinidad and Tobago's national gas company signed
00:50a deal for the supply of natural gas from the mannequin field.
00:54The mannequin field sits on the Trinidad and Tobago side while the coquina field sits on the Venezuelan side.
01:01The government has said that mannequin coquina is expected to become the first successful cross-border development to monetize gas
01:08through Trinidad and Tobago.
01:09And just days after the mannequin coquina announcement, Prime Minister Pasad-Basasa also highlighted the license for Phase 2 in
01:16the Loran gas field in Venezuela,
01:19signed last week in Caracas by the government of Venezuela, BP, XRG from the United Arab Emirates and UCC Holding
01:27from Qatar.
01:27Prime Minister Pasad-Basasa said Phase 2 as well as Phase 1 for Loran, which was previously signed by Shell,
01:34will send approximately 7 trillion cubic feet of gas from Venezuela into Trinidad and Tobago for processing in the nation's
01:41LNG and petrochemical plants.
01:44Loran is the larger gas field, which is adjacent to the manatee field, which is in Trinidad and Tobago's waters.
