00:00We all carry moments that change us forever, but for some, the hardest part isn't surviving the moment, it's carrying
00:10the story.
00:11Over the past month or so, I've spoken to people who have shared their stories about surviving things that we
00:21can barely imagine.
00:23But their stories isn't about just trauma, it's about what comes after, the courage to move on and the strength
00:33to rebuild.
00:34You've got no confidence, and that's part of not leaving, I guess too, because you're petrified.
00:42I didn't know anything about mental health when I was younger, like, it wasn't really a thing, so I just
00:47kept it all to myself and battled silently.
00:59I'd been through concussions, I'd put my body through extremes.
01:03Every time I went back to the psychiatrist, I was getting told I was more and more crazy.
01:07The judge both said that the fact that two people had died in that accident was irrelevant to his sentence.
01:19This is the first part of this series, and if you or someone you know has a story and feel
01:26ready to share it, I'll be honored to listen to it.
