00:081 Corinthians 6, 19 through 20. Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy
00:15Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought
00:22at a
00:22price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's. There is a powerful
00:30truth contained in these verses. If you belong to Jesus, your life belongs to Him. Paul reminds
00:39believers that our bodies are not merely ours to use however we please. They are temples of the
00:47Holy Spirit. God Himself has chosen to dwell within those who have placed their faith in Christ.
00:56That gives tremendous value and purpose to the way we live. You are a temple. In the Old Testament,
01:04the temple was a sacred place associated with the presence of God. It was treated with reverence
01:11because it belonged to Him. Now, Paul says something remarkable. The Holy Spirit dwells within
01:19believers. That means following Jesus isn't limited to what happens inside a church building on Sunday
01:27morning. Our relationship with God goes with us everywhere. It affects how we speak. It affects
01:36what we watch. It affects how we treat others. It affects the decisions we make when nobody else is
01:44watching. Even the ordinary parts of life become opportunities to honor God. Paul then gives us the
01:54reason. For you were bought at a price. That price was not silver or gold. Our redemption came through the
02:04sacrifice of Jesus Christ. Jesus gave Himself for us. He carried our sin to the cross. He shed His blood
02:14for
02:14our redemption. He rose again so that through Him we could receive forgiveness and eternal life. When we
02:22understand what Christ has done for us, obedience stops being merely a list of rules. It becomes a response of
02:32love and gratitude. We begin asking a different question instead of, can I do this? We begin asking,
02:42will this glorify God? Paul's message isn't simply about avoiding sinful behavior. It is a call to live with
02:50purpose. Your hands can serve someone. Your mouth can encourage someone. Your feet can carry you somewhere God
02:58where God wants you to go. Your time can be invested in things that matter eternally. Your entire life can
03:06become an offering of worship to God. You don't glorify God only when you're praying, reading scripture,
03:14or sitting in church. You can glorify Him in the way you live every day. Today's encouragement. As you go
03:23through today, remember whose you are. When temptation comes, remember whose you are. When you're making a
03:32difficult decision, remember whose you are. When the world tells you to simply live for yourself, remember
03:39you were bought at a price. Jesus gave Himself for you, and now you have the privilege of living for
03:48Him. Let your choices,
03:49words, actions, and attitude point people toward the Savior who redeemed you. Heavenly Father, thank you for
03:59loving me enough to send Jesus to redeem me. Thank you for the gift of your Holy Spirit and for
04:06reminding me
04:07that my life belongs to you. Forgive me for the times I have lived only for myself without considering
04:15whether my choices honor you. Help me treat my body, my thoughts, my words, and my actions as things that
04:24belong to you. Give me wisdom when I face temptation and courage to choose what pleases you. May the way
04:32I
04:32live today reflect my gratitude for what Jesus has done for me. Let my entire life bring glory to you.
