00:00Daily Devotional, Saturday, October 10th, when God's plans are different from ours.
00:07Today's scripture, listen to counsel and receive instruction that you may be wise in your latter
00:13days. There are many plans in a man's heart. Nevertheless, the Lord's counsel that will stand.
00:21Proverbs 19, 20 and 21. The importance of godly wisdom. We don't always know what is best for
00:29our lives. Sometimes we make decisions based on what we want, rather than what God desires.
00:37Proverbs reminds us that wisdom begins with humility and a willingness to listen. God uses
00:44his word, prayer, and godly counsel to guide us. A wise person isn't someone who knows everything,
00:52but someone willing to learn, accept correction, and follow God's instruction.
00:58when our plans don't match God's. We all make plans for our future, but life doesn't always unfold the
01:06way we expect. Sometimes doors close, circumstances change, and our hopes are disappointed. Proverbs 19,
01:1521 reminds us that although we may have many plans, God's purposes will stand. His wisdom is greater than
01:23ours, and his plans are not limited by what we can see or understand. Learning to trust God's direction.
01:31Trusting God doesn't mean we stop planning. It means surrendering our plans to his will.
01:38Sometimes he calls us to wait, change direction, or let go of something we desperately want.
01:45True faith means trusting God's wisdom even when his direction is different from our desires.
01:53Following him requires humility, patience, and obedience. Today's encouragement, whatever plans you
02:03have today, place them before the Lord. Seek his wisdom, listen to godly counsel, and remain willing to
02:11follow his direction. Your plans may change, but God's purposes will always stand. Heavenly Father,
02:21thank you for your wisdom and guidance. Forgive me for the times I have followed my own plans without
02:27seeking your will. Give me a humble heart that listens to your word and accepts godly counsel. When life
02:35doesn't go as I expected, help me trust your direction instead of my own understanding. Teach me to surrender my
02:43plans, remain patient, and faithfully follow wherever you lead. In Jesus' name, amen. Reflection question.
02:54Am I truly seeking God's direction for my life, or am I making my own plans and asking him to
03:02bless them?
03:03Amen. Today's truth. Our plans may change, but God's purposes will stand. Seek his wisdom, trust his
03:14direction, and remember that his understanding is greater than ours. Leave an amen if you're trusting
03:22God's wisdom above your own plans. Share this devotional with someone who needs encouragement to follow God's
03:32direction, and follow for more daily Bible verses, prayers, and devotionals.
