00:36but how long I keep them out there remains to be seen.

01:17But those guys, there's nothing long-term on them.

01:30and then see where that lands going into next week.

01:37How are BJ's not much smaller?
01:39It looks like BJ's been doing more.
01:41Yeah, both progressing.
01:43We won't put a timeline on them,
01:44but they're both progressing as we would hope that they would.
01:48With the rookie class, I know every year a rookie class brings something it feels like.
01:53Was there something to this year's class that you have felt from that group?
01:58Well, I think no one's out of place, number one.
02:00All those guys that we've gotten reps to,
02:03they've all shown the things that the reasons we brought them here,
02:07really encouraging class.
02:10I want more practices under their belt
02:11before we start declaring anybody a future star in this league or anything
02:15because they've only got two and a half weeks in so far.
02:17But I think once you get to these preseason games,
02:19you'll get a better sense of where they're at.
02:21But really pleased with all of them.
02:23They've all made their contributions.
02:25They all belong.
02:26They're all competing for different roles.
02:28They've all, I think, handled the above-the-neck stuff really well.
02:31They're very mature as a class overall.
02:34So pleased with the group, by and large.
02:35Is it easier to work with them last year?
02:38I mean, you had three guys, really,
02:40that were kind of almost starters for you at this time.
02:43Is it easier to work with them and have patience
02:46when they're not counted on to be in there immediately
02:50and they're just trying to earn that role?

02:57where they're needed immediately.
02:58And so that's always in the back, I think, of a coach's mind,
03:01is they may be viewed as a depth player or backup.
03:05But we all know they've got to be ready in a moment's notice.
03:08And so you always have that urgency to make sure that they're ready to go.
03:12So I don't ever feel like the easing in,
03:14hey, we're not counting on this guy,
03:16so we can be a little more patient with him.
03:19Usually feels the opposite.
03:21Connor Liu, you had him out there a little bit today.
03:23Hey, what's your plan kind of with him
03:27and what have you thought about how he's progressed thus far?
03:29He's progressed as we would hope.
03:31So being able to do more and more in practice,
03:34and really that's just more our decision with the trainers.
03:37It's just how much we want to give him so far.
03:40Everything's been really good.
03:41He and Eric Hall would be two guys that we will not put out there Thursday.
03:46But they're both doing everything we'd hoped they'd be able to do.
03:49They're progressing.
03:50We'll make decisions on future games with them,
03:52but just don't want to put them out there prematurely.
