00:00We're here to recognize Sombra tonight. He is such a wonderful autobiographical artist.
00:05What was it about his work that stands out to you?
00:08Well, you know, I immediately began to recognize that he had a style that was all his own.
00:19And obviously he's got a great voice and he's a great songwriter,
00:22but, you know, he also writes all his own songs and produces himself, too, at a very tender age, I
00:30might add.
00:31And I think that kind of level of self-sufficiency is just something that you don't see every day.
00:39And it's something that I relate to and respect a great deal.
00:43Just to be nosy, what's the first of his songs that you remember hearing?
00:47Or maybe a lyric that you just, like, happened to catch and thought, oh, that's good.
00:50Well, you know, I can't give you a lyric, but probably Back to Friends, early in 2025, I believe.
01:00And, of course, 12 to 12 as well was something that I really got into.
01:05How do we get you guys to do some more together? We can't just have Tonight Be It.
01:11I don't know. I mean, we both have schedules.
01:14And, you know, he reached out to me a few months back just wanting me to know that I'd been
01:22a big influence on him.
01:24And he did mention something about getting together to do something.
01:28But I don't know what form that will take or if it will take at all.
01:33So we'll just have to wait and see.
01:36I'm going to keep on him on that. Don't worry. We will get an answer for you tonight.
01:41Okay.
