00:00What is your favorite Tony's win of all time?
00:02Oh, that's a great question.
00:04I love Jeffrey Holder's win for directing The Wiz.
00:08And he comes down the aisle and he's dancing and he dances with the presenter
00:11and he gives like a really short to the point speech and it's iconic and amazing.
00:16It's a really exciting time in New York in general right now.
00:19We're having a moment. Do you feel that energy right now?
00:21I do feel that energy and I think, you know, that's also thanks to all of these amazing shows
00:26that we're honoring tonight.
00:27There's so much joy on Broadway this season.
00:30And I think it's what the world needs.
00:31When you look back at like the pandemic, when things looked uncertain,
00:34that was almost like six years ago now.
00:36You know, how great does it feel to be out here?
00:40Broadway is like fully back, better than ever.
00:42Well, you know, this show started to get worked on in the pandemic.
00:47And so it was a real leap of faith from our collaborators to even think that we would have an
00:52industry
00:52where we could realize this vision.
00:54And so it's full circle. It's surreal.
00:57And I'm just grateful and humbled to be here.
00:59Is there a show nominee that you think got snubbed this year that you wish could have been here tonight?
01:06Oh, my gosh, of course.
01:07I mean, that's every year, right?
01:08You want everybody honored.
01:09But, you know, I would have to shout it out to Chassidy Moore,
01:13who plays Grizabella in Catch the Jellicle Ball.
01:15We don't have a show without her and her story and her experience and her voice and her energy.
01:21So I wish she was here with us.
01:23But she will be on stage tonight.
01:26And I am carrying the spirit of all of my cast with me to my seat.
01:30Show us that fan again.
01:31That's pretty, you know what I'm saying?
01:33There we go.
01:34Where'd you get that?
01:35This is available to you at the Broadhurst every night at Catch the Jellicle Ball.
01:40I love that you brought it.
01:41Yes.
