00:14In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, peace be with you.
00:19We acknowledge our sins, we acknowledge more importantly the compassion, the mercy and the love of God.
00:26Lord, have mercy. Christ, have mercy. Lord, have mercy. May Almighty God have mercy on us, forgive us our sins,
00:35and lead us into healing and life everlasting.
00:39Let us pray.
00:41O God, we show the light of your truth to those who go astray, so they may return to the
00:47right path.
00:48Give all who, for the faith they profess, are accounted Christians, the grace to reject whatever is contrary to the
00:55name of Christ,
00:56and to strive after all that does it honour, through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,
01:02who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, forever and ever. Amen.
01:09A reading from the prophet Isaiah, Hezekiah fell ill and was at the point of death.
01:16The prophet Isaiah, son of Amos, came and said to him,
01:22The Lord says this, put your affairs in order, for you are going to die, you will not live.
01:30Hezekiah turned his face to the wall and addressed this prayer to the Lord.
01:35Our Lord, remember, I beg you, how I have behaved faithfully and with sincerity of heart in your presence
01:43and have done what is right in your eyes.
01:46And Hezekiah shed many tears.
01:49Then the word of the Lord came to Isaiah.
01:51Go and say to Hezekiah, the Lord, the God of David, your ancestor, says this,
01:57I have heard your prayer and I have seen your tears.
02:00I will cure you.
02:01In three days' time you shall go up to the temple of the Lord.
02:05I have added 15 years to your life.
02:09I will save you from the hands of the king of Assyria.
02:13I will protect the city.
02:16Bring a fig, a poultice, Isaiah said.
02:20Apply it to the ulcer and he will recover.
02:23Hezekiah said, what is the sign to tell me that I shall be going up to the temple of the
02:29Lord?
02:30Here, Isaiah replied, is the sign from the Lord that he will do what he has said.
02:36Look, I shall make the shadow cast by the declining sun go back ten steps.
02:44On the steps of Ahaz.
02:47And the sun went back ten steps by which it had declined.
02:52The word of the Lord.
02:55Thanks be to God.
03:00You saved my life, O Lord.
03:02I shall not die.
03:04You saved my life, O Lord.
03:06I shall not die.
03:08I said, so I must go away.
03:11My life have spent assigned to the world below for the rest of my years.
03:17You saved my life, O Lord.
03:19I shall not die.
03:21I said, no more shall I see the Lord in the land of the living.
03:26No more shall I look upon man within this world.
03:30You saved my life, O Lord.
03:32I shall not die.
03:35My home is pulled up and removed.
03:38Like a shepherd's tent.
03:40Like a river, you have brought up my life.
03:43You cut me from the loom.
03:45You saved my life, O Lord.
03:47I shall not die.
03:49For you, Lord, my heart will live.
03:51You gave me back my spirit.
03:54You cured me.
03:55Kept me alive.
03:56Changed my sickness into health.
03:59You saved my life, O Lord.
04:01I shall not die.
04:03Alleluia, alleluia.
04:05My sheep listen to my voice, says the Lord.
04:07I know them and they follow me.
04:10Alleluia.
04:15The Lord be with you.
04:17A reading from the Holy Gospel according to Matthew.
04:20Glory to you, O Lord.
04:22Jesus took a walk on one Sabbath day through the cornfields.
04:26His disciples were hungry and began to pick ears of corn and eat them.
04:32The Pharisees noticed it and said to him,
04:35Look, your disciples are doing something that is forbidden on the Sabbath.
04:40And he said to them,
04:42Have you not read what David did when he and his followers were hungry?
04:46How he went into the house of God and how they ate the logs of offering,
04:51which neither he nor his followers were allowed to eat,
04:55but which were for the priests alone?
04:58Or again,
04:59Have you not read in the law
05:01that on the Sabbath day
05:03the temple priest
05:05break the Sabbath
05:06without being blamed for it?
05:08Now, here I tell you,
05:10there's something greater than the temple.
05:12And if you had understood the meaning of the words,
05:16what I want is mercy,
05:17not sacrifice,
05:19you would not have condemned,
05:20be blameless,
05:21for the Son of Man
05:23is master of the Sabbath.
05:26The Gospel of the Lord.
05:29Praise to you,
05:30Lord Jesus Christ.
05:34What I want is mercy,
05:36not sacrifice.
05:38The greatest commandment
05:40is love,
05:42compassion,
05:43and mercy
05:44are part of love.
05:46So,
05:47what we are called to do
05:49is much more than duty.
05:51We are called to give with generosity and love.
05:55God is love.
05:56God is faithful.
05:58And we are called to live that reality.
06:08Blessed are you, Lord God of all creation.
06:10For to your goodness we have this bread to offer,
06:13which earth has given human hands have made.
06:15It will become for us the bread of life.
06:19Blessed be God forever.
06:41Blessed are you, Lord God of all creation.
06:44For to your goodness we have this wine to offer,
06:46fruit of divine work of human hands.
06:49It will become our spiritual drink.
06:52Blessed be God forever.
07:02Let us pray, brothers and sisters,
07:04that my sacrifice and yours
07:06may be acceptable to God,
07:08our Almighty Father.
07:10May the Lord accept this sacrifice
07:12at our hands
07:13to the praise and glory of God's name
07:15for our good and the good of God's Holy Church.
07:18Look upon the offerings of the Church, O Lord,
07:22as she makes her prayer to you
07:23and grant that when consumed by those who believe,
07:27they may bring ever greater holiness
07:29through Christ our Lord.
07:31Amen.
07:33The Lord be with you.
07:35Lift up your hearts.
07:37Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.
07:41It is truly right and just
07:43our duty and our salvation
07:44always and everywhere
07:46to give you thanks,
07:48Father most holy,
07:49to your beloved Son,
07:51Jesus Christ,
07:52your word,
07:53whom you made all things,
07:55whom you sent as our Savior and Redeemer,
07:58incarnate by the Holy Spirit
07:59and born of the Virgin,
08:02fulfilling your will
08:03and gaining for you a holy people,
08:05he stretched out his hands
08:07as he endured his passion
08:08so as to break the bonds of death
08:11and manifest the resurrection.
08:13And so,
08:14with the angels and all the saints
08:15who declare your glory,
08:17as with one voice we are praying,
08:19Holy, Holy, Holy Lord,
08:22God of hosts,
08:23heaven and earth are full of your glory,
08:26Hosanna in the highest.
08:28Blessed is he who comes
08:29in the name of the Lord,
08:31Hosanna in the highest.
08:33You are indeed holy, O Lord,
08:35the font of all holiness.
08:37Make holy, therefore,
08:38these gifts, we pray,
08:40by sending down your Spirit upon them,
08:42God did you call,
08:43so that day may become for us
08:45the body and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ.
08:49At the time he was betrayed
08:50and entered willingly into his passion,
08:54into bread,
08:55and giving thanks,
08:56broke it,
08:57and gave it to his disciples,
08:59saying,
09:00Take this, all of you,
09:01and eat of it,
09:02for this is my body,
09:04which will be given up for you.
09:12In a similar way,
09:14when supper was ended,
09:15he took the chalice,
09:16and once more giving thanks,
09:18he gave it to his disciples,
09:20saying,
09:21Take this, all of you,
09:22and drink from it,
09:23for this is the chalice of my blood,
09:26the blood of the new and eternal covenant,
09:29which will be pulled out for you,
09:31and for many,
09:32for the forgiveness of sins.
09:35Do this in memory of me.
09:43The mystery of faith.
09:45Save us,
09:46Savior of the world,
09:47for by your cross and resurrection,
09:50you have set us free.
09:52Therefore,
09:53as we celebrate the memorial
09:55of his death and resurrection,
09:57we offer you, Lord,
09:58the bread of life
09:59and the chalice of salvation,
10:01giving thanks that you held us worthy
10:03to be in your presence
10:05and minister to you.
10:07Humbly we pray,
10:09that the partaking of the body
10:10and blood of Christ,
10:12we may be gathered into one
10:14by the Holy Spirit.
10:16Remember, Lord,
10:17your church spread throughout the world
10:19and bring her to the fullness of charity.
10:22Together with Leo, our Pope,
10:24meet your unworthy servant
10:26and all the clergy.
10:28Remember also our brothers and sisters
10:30who have fallen asleep
10:32in the hope of the resurrection
10:33and all who have died in your mercy.
10:37Welcome them into the light of your face.
10:41Have mercy on us all, we pray,
10:43and with the blessed Virgin Mary,
10:45Mother of God,
10:46blessed Joseph, her spouse,
10:48with the blessed apostles
10:50and all the saints
10:51who have pleased you throughout the ages,
10:53we may merit to be coerced to eternal life
10:56and may praise and glorify you
10:59through your Son, Jesus Christ.
11:04through him and with him and in him,
11:06O God Almighty,
11:07Father,
11:08in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
11:10all glory and honour is yours
11:12for ever and ever.
11:14Amen.
11:15At the Saviour's command and form by divine teaching,
11:19we dare to say,
11:20our Father who art in heaven,
11:23hallowed be thy name.
11:25Thy kingdom come,
11:27thy will be done on earth
11:28as it is in heaven.
11:30Give us this day our daily bread
11:32and forgive us our trespasses
11:34as we forgive those who trespass against us
11:38and lead us not into temptation,
11:40but deliver us from evil.
11:43Deliver us, Lord, we pray,
11:44from every evil.
11:46Graciously grant peace in our days
11:48that by the help of your mercy
11:50we may be always free from sin
11:52and safe from all distress
11:53as we await the blessed hope
11:55and the coming of our Saviour,
11:57Jesus Christ.
11:59For the kingdom, the power,
12:01and the glory are yours
12:02now and forever.
12:04Lord Jesus Christ,
12:05who said to your apostles,
12:07peace I leave you,
12:08my peace I give you,
12:10look not on our sins,
12:11but on the faith of your church
12:13and graciously grant her peace and unity
12:15in accordance with your will
12:17who live and reign forever and ever.
12:20Amen.
12:20The peace of our Lord Jesus Christ
12:22be with you always.
12:24Let us offer each other a sign of peace.
12:27Peace be with you all.
12:29Lamb of God,
12:30you take away the sins of the world.
12:33Have mercy on us.
12:35Lamb of God,
12:36you take away the sins of the world.
12:39Have mercy on us.
12:41Lamb of God,
12:42you take away the sins of the world.
12:45Grant us peace.
13:01Behold the Lamb of God,
13:03who takes away the sins of the world.
13:05Happy are those who accord
13:06to the supper of the Lamb.
13:08Lord, I am not worthy,
13:10you should enter under my roof,
13:12but only say the word
13:13and my soul shall be healed.
13:15My Jesus,
13:17I believe that you are present
13:18in the most blessed sacrament.
13:20I love you above all things,
13:22and I desire to receive you into my soul.
13:25Since I cannot now receive you sacramentally,
13:29commonly, spiritually, into my heart,
13:31I embrace you as if you were already there,
13:34and unite myself wholly to you.
13:37Never permit me to be separated from you.
13:39Amen.
13:41Let us pray.
13:46Having consumed these gifts,
13:48we pray, O Lord,
13:49that by our participation
13:51in this great mystery,
13:52a saving effect upon us may grow.
13:55Through Christ our Lord.
13:56Amen.
13:57The Lord be with you.
13:58And may the peace and the blessing
14:00of the Father and of the Son
14:01and of the Holy Spirit come upon you
14:03and remain always with you.
14:05Let us go and proclaim the gospel
14:07by our lives.
14:08Thanks be to God.
14:10And God bless you today.
