00:10continue. Her lawyer, Chu Di Wei, said his client, who identified herself only as Rogini Devi,
00:17is awaiting the outcome of investigations by the police and the Veterinary Services Department
00:22into the July 29th incident at Taman Teluk Gedong Indah. Rogini Devi noted that she returned home
00:29after fetching her daughter to find Rocky restrained by two men, with a crowd gathered outside her house.
00:34She said she repeatedly pleaded for her family pet to be released, which she claimed were ignored,
00:40and even offered to surrender him despite not having obtained a license. Rogini Devi also alleged
00:46she was struck on the hand while trying to rescue him and that by the time Klang City Council officers
00:51arrived, Rocky had already died. She alleged Rocky had been dragged from beneath a park car where he
00:58had hidden, beaten, and was restrained with a transparent cable containing steel wire rather
01:03than a standard dog-catching loop. The owner also criticized the authority's initial response,
01:09claiming police only formally recorded her report after a video of the incident went viral.
01:15Meanwhile, Persatuan Haiwantirbya Malaysia President Kalaivanen Ravichandran
01:20urged a thorough investigation while awaiting Rocky's post-mortem report.
01:25He said Rocky's licensing status should be treated separately from how the dog was handled and called
01:31on the council to explain whether the operation followed humane capture guidelines.
