Transcript
00:00a bit fast and furious out there this evening yeah yeah pace was kind of all over the place it
00:04was
00:05really inconsistent but that's championship racing we saw it in the 10k the other day as well
00:09when you're coming in on tired legs you kind of hope for the smoothest ride possible
00:13which we didn't get but you know that's championships it's unpredictable which is
00:17why everyone comes and comes and watches it's fun to watch so yeah hopefully it was entertaining for
00:22everyone out there conditions are a bit different to the other night as well isn't it yeah yeah a
00:26little bit more windy but no rain so you know i finally dried off after the other night i thought
00:31about the other night you've been making headlines everywhere since i don't know if you've seen the
00:35infamous kenyan podcast clip have you seen that yet yeah it was actually it actually came up on my feed
00:40so yeah i don't know why my algorithm felt like it needed to show me that so yeah i think
00:45it was a good
00:45watch how has it been since then have you been able to sort of relax and get yourself ready for
00:50this
00:50race or has it been a bit mad yeah i know i think um everyone talks about the physical talk
00:56of doing these doubles and it's very hard physically and we can do everything we can but it's also the
01:02mental and emotional it is it's draining especially you know when they go one way or the other if it's
01:08super successful or super bad it's kind of hard to come back down to earth and recompose and come
01:14again but i felt like i did a great job it's just you know when you're competing at this level
01:19you
01:19know that was my second fastest 10k ever on monday so to come back and be competitive again
01:26until the last 600 meters it's a big improvement from where we were four years ago i'm looking ahead
01:30you've got the europeans on the horizon this must have weight your appetite even further for that
01:35yeah no for sure i think yeah knowing that i can be competitive now i need to think about
01:42tactically how i'm going to race europeans um a few weeks to get the legs back under me and
01:46yeah hopefully i feel a bit better than i did today but yeah i'm confident that's that'll be
01:52the case well good luck for that and thanks for your time during this championship cheers thank you
