00:00An alleged RM50,000 drug run has landed a Malaysian pilot in Indonesian custody.
00:07According to CNN Indonesia, the pilot was arrested at Jakarta's Sokarno Hata Airport on Tuesday
00:14after authorities allegedly found more than 70,000 ecstasy pills in his suitcase.
00:20Indonesian police said customs officers became suspicious when the luggage passed through an X-ray scanner at Terminal 3.
00:26When officers inspected the suitcase, they discovered 14 large packages containing 70,114 ecstasy pills along with 2.7 grams
00:38of methamphetamine.
00:39The suspect later admitted that he was acting as a drug mule.
00:43He claimed a trafficker from a neighboring country had offered him RM50,000 to deliver the drugs to Jakarta.
00:50The pilot was allegedly instructed to check into a hotel and wait for another person to collect the packages.
00:58Authorities said this was not his first trip, with the suspect admitting that he had smuggled drugs into Indonesia on
01:05two previous occasions.
01:08A drug test also found him positive for methamphetamine, ecstasy and cocaine.
