00:00So we we did also learn that, you know, the the Raiders are going to have a new quarterback, right?
00:08They number one pick is locked up and he's good to go here.
00:13And I talked to a friend of mine that's in one of the risk rooms in Vegas.
00:18And I don't know if it's just a local thing, but the expectations of this Raiders team this year in
00:26that division,
00:27Tom is apparently they're starting to get a lot of money coming in here, looking at this Raiders team.
00:34They love this Mendoza kid.
00:36I'm not sold.
00:37He's even going to be the starter to begin the year with Kirk Cousins.
00:41I think they got Kirk Cousins for a reason and I'm okay with that.
00:44But you got a rookie head coach taking on a team that I'm sorry, is Matt Crosby still available?
00:51Is he even playing on his team anymore?
00:53Like what?
00:54There's just a lot of unknown with the Raiders.
00:57I think they'll be better than they were a year ago, but there's still a lot of questions
01:02I have and they still play in the AFC West, which has got to be a nightmare for him this
01:07year.
01:08It certainly shapes up to be one of the hardest, if not the toughest division in the NFL with,
01:13you know, Mahomes apparently on track, ready to play week one.
01:17And, you know, a lot of people still have their concerns about the Chargers actually good.
01:21Is Herbert actually good?
01:22Regardless of that, you have three teams that can make the playoffs in that division.
01:27So even if the Raiders are better than they were last year, which I certainly believe
01:31they will be, you know, we are expecting Kirk Cousins to start at least week one.
01:36It still puts the Raiders in a very, very tough spot.
01:39Whether or not the Cousins thing is the right decision, you know, yet to be seen.
01:44But I think he's going to start week one.
01:46I'm not in love with that idea, but they are still playing in the toughest division and
01:50it is a big mountain to climb just to get into the wildcard race.
01:53And I know a lot of people like to draw comparisons to say, oh, when Jim Daniels went to Washington,
01:58you know, rookie, you know, rookie quarterback, new head coach.
02:01Oh, they make the playoffs.
02:02They go all the way to the championship games.
02:04We can't expecting that to be the model for every rookie quarterback going to a franchise
02:09with the new head coach like, oh, we're going to have this bolt of lightning and we're going
02:13to make the playoffs in the first year.
02:14That's that's not going to happen every time.
