00:00I want to get better at PvP in Minecraft, so I'll be playing three rounds of every main game mode,
00:05and I'll be commentating on my decision making so that you guys might be able to learn something too.
00:09Enjoy.
00:10So we are starting off with my main game mode, Crystal PvP.
00:13Guys, I have not played PvP in a whole week because I just got back from VidCon.
00:18I guess in this video I can also talk about that trip a bit because
00:21some of you might know a lot of the people who I was going with.
00:24I'll have you guys know, I did actually-
00:26Oh my god, what the-
00:28Yo, this guy's crazy.
00:29I technically did play a few rounds.
00:31Oh my gosh.
00:32I did play a few rounds of PvP at VidCon because my friend Andres actually brought his computer.
00:38Okay, we're going to do Sword now because that's the next game mode.
00:41But yeah, Andres brought his computer, and so a few of the guys just did some PvP matches with each
00:47other,
00:47which is funny because you're at VidCon, you're here for a week to meet other creators and do VidCon,
00:53yet we're still at our computers playing Minecraft, which is kind of funny.
00:56But yeah, I'll probably be making a vlog on the whole trip because I have a lot of videos and
01:02pictures.
01:03Aren't you like Rasslin's ult?
01:05I'm on my ult today respawn anchors because I just don't want to get recognized as much just because I
01:09want to like go into PvP without having to pause.
01:12But yeah, anyways, we're going to keep fighting.
01:13I have not played Sword in a minute because obviously VidCon, but I feel like I'm not as bad as
01:19I was a month ago because I have been training it a lot.
01:23Probably one of my most trained game modes right now.
01:25Like, look, I have three quarters of my HP.
01:27Not bad.
01:28VidCon.
01:28VidCon was really fun.
01:29I did meet a couple fans, which is pretty cool.
01:32Some of y'all came up to me and were like, yo, can I get a picture?
01:35Just talked.
01:36But besides that, though, besides the actual convention, some of the most fun I had was just hanging out with
01:41some YouTube friends because we had our own Airbnb.
01:44We threw parties like every single night.
01:47One of the nights.
01:48Oh my gosh, I can't aim.
01:49One of the nights we threw a giant party with like some of the top creators in the world.
01:53I don't know how much you can leak about that, but it was the craziest party ever.
01:57Also, we're going to do the next game mode, which is Axe, a mode that I feel like I'm bad
02:01at, but I've been training it a lot as well.
02:02Just like Sword.
02:03But yeah, some of the people I was at VidCon with are part of this group of friends that I've
02:08created.
02:08Some of the people in it are like AJ the Bold, Dr. Donut, Bablu, Fanst, Luigi Tone, Andres, just to
02:16name a few.
02:16There's a lot more, but some people that you guys might recognize because we have done a lot of videos
02:21together.
02:21Also, let me like lock into this game mode.
02:24Sometimes when I'm just talking and thinking about what I'm saying, like VidCon, I don't think about Minecraft, but hey,
02:29we still won.
02:30And this game mode also has two rounds, so I will be trying to make a lot more of these
02:33type of videos though.
02:34Just chill training videos, minimal editing, just because these are easy to make.
02:39And it's part of my journey to get tier 3 in every game mode.
02:43If you guys haven't heard about that, my whole goal right now is to do a tier test at the
02:47end of summer, each game mode.
02:49If I can average tier 3 in all of them at least, then that puts me in the top 100
02:54PvPers worldwide on a tier list.
02:56I think we've won every single game so far, but next we have Mace.
03:00And I'm just going to be doing all these game modes down the line, and then once I finish all
03:04of them, we'll do them twice more.
03:06But yeah, we have Mace now.
03:07This game mode is not my favorite one, I'm not going to lie.
03:10It tends to be a little long if you guys aren't good, which is the case for me.
03:14So what I'm going to do is just kind of Breach Swap, which is a very OP technique that like
03:193 shots them, as you can see.
03:21I'm just switching from my sword into the Breach Enchant Mace.
03:24For some reason, it's a little glitch that does more damage.
03:27Also, we cannot aim.
03:28This is what I meant by these game modes take a while if you can't aim.
03:31But there we go.
03:32It would be taking a lot longer if I was just using the density one.
03:37But I did see a new Marlow video, the number 1 PvPer, on her YouTube channel posted a video like
03:43Tier 1 Mace Gameplay.
03:45And I was learning a few things about it, just watching.
03:47So definitely a cool video if you guys haven't seen that one.
03:50Here we go.
03:51Oh, I can kill this guy here.
03:52Oh, I missed my hit.
03:54But he said, what does that reach in the chat?
03:56Do you guys see me reaching on my screen?
03:58I don't know.
03:58It looks pretty normal to me.
04:00Okay, here we go.
04:01Mace is kind of fun, though, if you can actually aim and, you know, hit your hits.
04:05But if not, just go for the Breach Swaps.
04:08It's a lot easier, which I can't even do right now.
04:11Because I haven't played in a week.
04:12Because of VidCon.
04:14Uh, dang it.
04:15If I hit that, I would have popped his totem.
04:17But yeah.
04:18At VidCon, guys.
04:20I was able to meet a lot of creators.
04:22Some that I've already known.
04:24A lot of the Lifesteal guys.
04:26A lot of just SMP stuff.
04:28Because that's my, you know, Minecraft niche.
04:30Some PvP people are, like, down to make video claps with me.
04:32Because they've seen the training arc.
04:34So it's like, yeah.
04:35Just warning you guys.
04:36Expect some videos with people you might recognize.
04:39Going for all of our Breach Swaps here.
04:41Three hits in a row.
04:42As you can see, the Breach Swap technique kills them in, like, four crits.
04:46It's insane.
04:48And, yeah.
04:49It's kind of OP.
04:49But anyways.
04:50Let's do the next game mode.
04:51UHC.
04:52A mode that I am really bad at.
04:54You guys thought I was bad at Mace?
04:56This is my worst game mode.
04:57And I don't have my Hopper saved on this account.
04:59But, let's see.
05:00I did get trained by FairyMC in this recently.
05:03And by recently, I mean, like, a month ago.
05:05Um, haven't played it much since then.
05:07But I'm going to have to train in it even more.
05:10Before the tier test, at least.
05:11Because I really suck at this game mode.
05:13Where's my lava at?
05:14Okay, there we go.
05:15We set him on fire.
05:16The thing I'm going to try to do here is just get him in the cobweb.
05:20And then drain his water.
05:21By spamming my bucket.
05:23So that I take his water just like that.
05:25Or not.
05:26Okay, I thought I took his water.
05:27But you guys see what the goal is there.
05:30Pretty much axe now.
05:32And crossbow.
05:32I missed the crossbow.
05:34And now I have him in the lava.
05:35But I can still drain his water.
05:37We're going to heal before it's too late here.
05:41Okay, nice.
05:42We broke his shield.
05:43I think I can just kill him here.
05:44If I don't miss everything.
05:46Nice.
05:47There we go.
05:47Okay, you know what, guys?
05:48We're not playing for a whole week.
05:50We're not even doing bad.
05:51I've won in every single thing so far.
05:53But that brings us to Netherite OP.
05:55Something that I enjoy.
05:57But most people are a lot better than me.
05:59So we'll see if I can win this one.
06:00Going back to VidCon.
06:01Like, I got to meet a lot of new people as well that I've never met.
06:04There's these guys named Chief XD from Lifesteal and Sword who does like civilization videos or story videos.
06:09And I've never really talked to them before.
06:11So that was cool to meet them and hang out with them a lot.
06:13Like, there's so many people I met.
06:15I can't think of everyone right now.
06:17But definitely a lot of people that you guys have seen their videos of.
06:20So if I do post a vlog of it after I, you know, blur out everyone's face who's faceless.
06:26Then stay tuned for a vlog.
06:27Maybe on second channel or something.
06:29Oh my gosh.
06:30Okay.
06:31Let me actually lock in on this game mode though.
06:33Netherite OP or Netherite Pot is one of the harder game modes.
06:37Just because less people play it on average.
06:40It's a less popular game mode.
06:42Meaning, the people who do play it usually are better at it on average.
06:46Because they practice it more.
06:48There's less new people for them to fight.
06:50But the thing about this game mode is basically make sure your healing is good.
06:53Never get too low.
06:55I think the rule of thumb is don't get below 7 hearts without gapping.
06:58And you kind of just want to match their healing patterns.
07:01And never miss a crit.
07:02Kind of like I just did there.
07:04Don't do that.
07:06Here we go though.
07:07We're going to go for the crit spam.
07:09He did just heal.
07:10So I'm going to do it 1.
07:12Because even if your health looks good in this game mode.
07:14Your saturation still decreases.
07:16Which is what lets you heal more.
07:18You can see on my hunger bar.
07:19I have a saturation mod called Apple Skin.
07:21And that shows me when I'm going to have a lot of healing.
07:25And when I won't.
07:25You'll notice I have XP in my hotbar as well.
07:28Because I have been training this recently.
07:31And I was told you want XP in there for high level gameplay.
07:35When you're being pressured and you need to, you know, mend your armor without opening inventory.
07:40So that's why I have that.
07:42We are getting low here.
07:43So we're just going to throw a heal pot just in case.
07:45Basically you want to utilize your gaps in the early game before your health potions.
07:49Because once your armor starts breaking, like that's when, you know, you want to have all the health potions to
07:57heal with when you drop faster.
07:59So right now in the early game, I'm trying to focus on, you know, getting his armor ability low.
08:05Making him feel pressured.
08:07So that in the mid game, once we start using more items, it's a lot easier for me to take
08:12advantage and crit spam.
08:13You can see he's already mending armor.
08:16You know what?
08:17We didn't even do that bad.
08:18Okay, we have the next game mode, Diamond Pot.
08:20There's nobody playing it right now, so...
08:23Oh, there we go.
08:25Just like the last game mode, this one has less people playing.
08:28It's a less popular game mode as we just saw.
08:30Which means the people who do play it are usually better.
08:33So we're going to see if you can win this.
08:35We haven't lost a game yet today.
08:37Okay, uh, I do enjoy this game mode though, even though it is a hard one.
08:41But, yeah, that means you have to lock in.
08:43Because look, we have Speed 2, it's Diamond Armor.
08:46So it's really fast paced.
08:47You have to be able to combo in Diamond.
08:49And also you drop really fast because it's Diamond Armor.
08:52You die in like 3 or 4 crits, I think.
08:54It's scary.
08:56So, yeah.
08:57The key to this one is having good reactions and being able to actually aim and get your combos in.
09:02And as you can see, uh, we're going kind of even.
09:05This is definitely the hardest mode yet.
09:07Uh, I used to play this a lot though back in the day when I was first learning the PvP.
09:12Uh, before Netherite was added because it was really popular at the time.
09:15And it's a very competitive mode, what can I say?
09:17Yeah, whoa, yo, yo, yo.
09:20Okay, what was that?
09:21Yo, we just lagged.
09:22You guys saw- I throw my potions and nothing happened.
09:25We'll accept the loss, but that one was- that was on lag, I'm not gonna lie.
09:28Okay, guys, and to finish out the first round of every game mode,
09:31we have SMP, which is a kit a lot of you guys have been asking me to play and practice
09:35with.
09:36But yeah, we're going into our final first duel in a game mode.
09:39So after this, if we win or lose, we'll go back into the rotation of Crystal, then Sword and Axe.
09:44So the key to this game mode is just, uh, being able to shield better than your opponent.
09:50I mean, it's basically Netherite OP- or, I mean, Netherite pot, really the main difference is your shield.
09:55And if you can't utilize your shield good, you will lose against an experienced player.
10:00Which typically happens to me.
10:02Like, I actually suck at this game mode compared to most people, I think.
10:05Trying to think about what else happened at VidCon, because so much happened that I could talk about.
10:09Oh my gosh, we just won.
10:11Bro- threw an Ender Pearl so far, it did not have enough time to land before he died.
10:15That was all the game modes, so now we're gonna go back to Crystal again.
10:18But yeah, VidCon was pretty fun.
10:20It's actually my fourth year going, so it's not like it's my first time or anything.
10:24We have been going- oh, this guy's low tier 3 in Crystal.
10:27Oh god.
10:28Membu.
10:29Yo, what in the Teemu Wembu?
10:31I'm gonna lose, guys, because I'm not tier 3.
10:33Unless I get really lucky, but, uh, I don't expect to win this one, I'm not gonna lie.
10:38Let's try to Anchor Spam though.
10:39I definitely can't talk about VidCon and play it up max efficiency against this player, so I'm kind of just
10:47having to choose one to survive.
10:50Okay, I'll continue my VidCon conversation now, because I'm dead.
10:54Holy.
10:55Okay, so that's the level I'm trying to get to.
10:57Anyways, into Sword, and what was I saying?
11:00VidCon.
11:01It's my fourth year.
11:02The thing though is, every year, my friends and I, my group, like, expands.
11:07Like, I add more people to my management group, that's what it's called.
11:10We just make more connections in general with all of us, because each year we grow on subscribers, views, and
11:15all, so more people are finding our channels and wanting to meet us.
11:18And that lets us just get good connections, that's how we invited so many people to our party.
11:23So, I guess I'm just saying this to emphasize the power of networking.
11:26If you guys don't know, networking is OP.
11:29Just, if you're friends with one person, then you can potentially have all the connections of them, and their friends,
11:35and so on.
11:35It's really OP.
11:37And that's why you might notice in the Minecraft space on YouTube, a lot of the top creators just know
11:42each other, that you wouldn't even expect.
11:44Everyone kind of knows each other to some extent, and, yeah, it's kind of cool in that sense.
11:48But we're just gonna play out this duel.
11:50There's two rounds in Sword, so we have to win this second one in order to actually win.
11:54It's looking like a win, though.
11:56Sword is one of my favorite modes right now, just because I've gotten a lot better in it.
12:01I'd say it's the mode I have the most improvement in right now.
12:04That was actually a little close, though, but GG.
12:06And now into the second round of Axe.
12:07Also, guys, something funny that happened.
12:09Some of you guys might know this YouTuber named Ken.
12:11He's not Minecraft.
12:12He does Clash Royale content.
12:14But some of the people in my group really wanted to meet him, so we were scanning the whole, like,
12:19VidCon for him every day.
12:21He actually, like, heard about our party that we were throwing, and I think he was planning on coming to
12:25it, but changed his mind last second.
12:27Oh my gosh.
12:27That was close.
12:28But when he didn't show up to our party, which is not bro's fault or anything, it's his decision to
12:33come or not, the people in my group were devastated.
12:34They really wanted to meet this guy, Ken, because he's, like, a funny YouTuber.
12:38We unfortunately did not see him, so.
12:41Rip.
12:41This guy's actually going to beat me.
12:43He's pretty good at Sword for a low tier 4.
12:46Maybe he's gotten better since his tier test, or I just suck.

12:52Let's go into Mace.
12:53But, yeah, the actual convention itself this year was pretty fun.
12:57There was a lot of stuff to do, a lot of new creators, panels, and stuff to go to.
13:00A lot of free stuff to just pick up from walking around, so that's what me and my girlfriend did
13:05this year.
13:05Okay, if I want to get better at this mode, oh my gosh.
13:09This guy's pretty good.
13:10If I want to get good at this mode, I'm just going to watch the Marlow tier 1 montage, because
13:14that was insane.
13:16Okay, this guy's using his shield as well.
13:17He's pretty good.
13:18He's low right now, though.
13:20Can I hit him with a density hit?

13:22He's really low HP.
13:25Yo, he's not healing.
13:26What?
13:26What are we doing?
13:28I popped this totem.
13:29Let's go.
13:29If I hit that, I actually could have killed bro right there.

13:40And this brings us to our second round of UHC.
13:43The game mode I'm probably worst at yet again.
13:45We won the last one, though, so...
13:47Hey, maybe we can run it back, win it again.
13:49Shoot, I have to do my hop bar again.
13:50I keep forgetting to do that.
13:51You can set your hop bar on the server to automatically be the same each round.
13:56But since I'm on my second account, I forgot to do it for this account.
13:59And that's why I did it right there.
14:00But it's okay.

14:04Bro just got rid of my cobweb.

14:07Okay, nice.
14:07The main strat in this I'm trying to do is get him stuck in a cobweb and then drain his
14:11water.
14:12If I can do it.

14:15We have the advantage at the moment.
14:17In this game mode, something I have to do better at is just healing at the right times because I
14:21always heal too late.
14:22Because it's different from other game modes in that there's no natural healing.
14:26I think we just stole his water.
14:27Maybe.
14:29Or maybe he just stole my lava.
14:30I don't know how that worked out, but it's fine.
14:32If I want to get good at this, I'll just ask Fairy MC for more tips.
14:35But in the meantime, I'm just practicing it on my own using the knowledge that he gave me.
14:40Okay, this guy's higher HP than me.
14:43We can combo him a little bit.
14:44I will heal up right now though while we're at a distance.
14:48Shoot him with the crossbow.
14:49Let's charge up another one as well.
14:51Try to set him on fire because that does a little bit of damage over time.

14:56And then he's in a corner, so I'm going to do a cobweb.

15:00See, his water placement was really good there because it got him out of there
15:03without me being able to steal his waters easily because he put it below himself.
15:07Okay, we're going to do that, that, and then he should be dead here.
15:12Nice.
15:13Okay, that was a little bit risky, but we did get the win.
15:16And now we are back into the second round of Neve Pot.
15:20Again, like the last round, this game mode can be a hit or miss for difficulty.
15:24Sometimes they're really easy.
15:25Sometimes they're pretty good.
15:26This guy's a little tier 4 though.
15:27So, I guess we're going to see if I can beat a low tier 4 level of skill, which I
15:32hope
15:33I can because the goal is to be a tier 3 in every game mode.
15:37Yeah, let's see.
15:39He's hitting a lot of hits here, but so are we.
15:41Like I said, I'm just going to try to keep my health high.
15:44If I get below 7 hearts, that's when I'm going to heal.
15:46But if I can beat this guy, then I'm a little closer to my goal of getting tier 3.
15:51I think we win.

15:54I'm going to heal right now.
15:56There's actually an interesting strategy in this game mode.
15:58A lot of you might not expect that I learned when I was getting training last week.
16:02And that is people intentionally pop totems in this mode because it gives you a regen effect,
16:06which you can't get from any potions in this mode.
16:09You only get it from popping a totem.
16:11So people will actually just intentionally pop totems to get regen and stay in an exchange
16:16longer.
16:17Wouldn't expect it, but yeah.
16:18And I am making that netherite pot training video.
16:22I got trained by like a tier 2 in this mode, so still editing that.
16:25I'll probably do another one though, training with like a YouTube or something.
16:29Maybe like only squid or sharpness.
16:31Okay, I feel like we have kind of an even game so far.
16:33I might be winning slightly, but he's definitely not bad.
16:36Uh-oh.
16:38Oh, what?
16:39He was on like one HP there.
16:40We're going to heal up though.
16:41I also do need to get more stuff in my hotbar.
16:43So next time he backs out, I'm going to do that really quick.

17:12This game mode, it goes either one of two ways.
17:15Like that, or that happens to me.
17:17Because they're just better.
17:18There's often not a lot of long games in that.
17:20Because most people are not good enough to survive long enough.
17:23On the other side of the spectrum, we have SMP.
17:26Which can last forever.
17:28Because look at the kit.
17:29You have XP, you have netherite armor.
17:31I have full inventory of items.
17:32Like, this is the game where I expect to last the longest usually.
17:35Because there's no way to quick drop.
17:36It's not like crystal, where you have explosions and totems where you can instantly drop.
17:40It's pretty hard to die in this.
17:42But, let's try to win here.
17:44Wait, I think I fought this guy in the first round.
17:46I feel like I recognize his name.
17:48Let's see if we can win though.
17:49Because we did win the first round of this.
17:51Because the guy threw his pearl too long.
17:53It might have been this guy.
17:55For the VidCon trip, I also went to Six Flags for the first time with my girlfriend.
17:59And that was interesting.
18:00Because last year for VidCon, my group went to Knott's Berry Farm.
18:03Which, if you guys don't know, these are two amusement parks for roller coasters in California.
18:09Like, the two biggest ones besides Disneyland.
18:11And I quite enjoyed Six Flags.
18:14A lot of people like Knott's Berry Farms more.
18:16I like Six Flags because I had more variety of coasters, I felt like.
18:20Like, even though the Knott's Berry Farm coasters might have been, like, better, you know, higher quality on average.
18:25I kind of liked how there was more options.
18:27And that created shorter lines because there's more rides.
18:30But if you guys have been to California and you've gone to these parks, like, let me know in the
18:34comments which ones you like more.
18:36Okay, this guy is pretty low.
18:38I think I can kill him right here.

18:40If he threw his pearl a little farther there, I would have been able to kill him there.

18:56So, we won the first round of Crystal.
18:58We lost the second one because we fought the low tier three.
