00:00Vanilla PvP is Minecraft's strongest form of combat, but also by far the hardest to master.

00:06And since I want to get better at it, today I'm going to be dueling people until I lose.

00:10So, let's see how long I can survive. Enjoy.

00:13First game of the video, and we are on my second account today because I guess Dr. Donut's streaming the

00:18server.

00:18And whenever I was trying to warm up a few seconds ago, I kept getting recognized and I just could

00:22not play a game without having to wait a while.

00:25So, yeah, we're just going to be incognito today. Might get recognized still, but we are popping all this guy's

00:30totems right now just on the surface.

00:32But yeah, I guess the goal of the video today, guys, if I lose a game, the video ends.

00:36Just to make it simple, because we are challenging myself. We're getting a little better, so I feel like that's

00:41a reasonable challenge.

00:42And we win the first game. Nice.

00:43So, this is my training art to get Tier 3 in Vanilla PvP, and we are fighting a lot of

00:48decent players right now because Donut's streaming.

00:50And also, I've noticed when I play at later times of the day, such as right now, I fight better

00:55people on average.

00:56Because I guess all the new players are already asleep, the sweats are on at nighttime.

00:59So, I've noticed I get better training in when I play at nighttime.

01:03So, that's why I wanted to record it this time as well, so we could get a better game.

01:07Hopefully, we don't die now in this second game here. We popped a totem there.

01:12I need to use my anchors more because my account name right now is reasonable anchors.

01:18But as you can see, compared to a few months ago when I just came back to PvP, we have

01:22gotten a little slightly better.

01:24We're not Tier 3 exactly yet, I would say.

01:27I've beaten a few of them, I guess because I was lucky, but I can consistently beat high Tier 4s

01:32now, I'd say.

01:33Now, if I fight a high Tier 4 in this video, I better not lose now.

03:41We do not have double blast protection on, so let me fix that right now.

03:44In case you guys are new to vanilla PvP and you don't know what double blast pot is,

03:48if you have a blast protect enchant on two armor pieces, then you take zero knockback from explosions.

03:53As you can see here, I just fall straight down.

03:56Which is OP, because you can anchor spam and not have to get knocked away, and it just makes it

04:01better.

06:17I'm also getting more comfortable with just the double blast prot strat, because it's

06:21something that's kind of weird to get used to, especially after playing crystal for, you

06:25know, a couple years without it.

06:27It's definitely a new thing.

06:30But I can tell you guys, it is super worth, especially in the current meta, where it's

06:33just all respawn anchors for the most part.

06:35Because if you don't have the double blast prot in a hole, you're getting cooked.

06:40Kind of need to use anchors to compete in the current meta, which is, you know, it is what

06:43it is.

06:44I don't know if I like it more than the OG crystal or vanilla PvP, but it's cool to see

06:49how the metas evolved, I guess.

06:50Partially my fault.

06:52Some of the OG viewers may know this, but I was one of the first people ever to like

06:55actually start using respawn anchors in competitive Minecraft PvP.

06:59Like there's a tournament and only me and Israel, me were using them like five years ago

07:04or four years ago.

07:05And from there, like, even though we didn't know how to use them exactly, we already knew

07:09they were going to be OP.

07:10So it was a matter of time before people actually figured out how to use them well, aka Marlow.

07:15And she kind of revolutionized it, but yeah, I was a pioneer.
