00:00I've tried probably over 10 different nasal sprays. They all last about two
00:05hours. It's worse than it's ever been at the moment, so I'm really hoping this
00:09procedure helps. I'm getting the Nauseam therapy procedure done today. I'm here
00:16today because I lost my sense of smell probably about two to three years ago. I
00:21do have a nose piercing, but I did get this in December, November time, so it's
00:26pretty new. This happened way before that. I'm not really sure what started it. I
00:30noticed it when I couldn't smell perfume, I couldn't smell alcohol, and people be
00:35like, holding their noses or something, and I wouldn't smell anything that they
00:39were talking about. So I did bring my nail polish remover today. If you want to see
00:43something crazy, this is I guess a party trick that I'm not gonna have anymore.
00:47Do not try this at home. Nothing. A weird fear I have is like, how do I smell? Do I
00:54smell okay? That's the only thing I don't like, because I'm really, I'm 100% okay
00:59with not smelling garbage, because when I can smell and I smell garbage, it's
01:02disgusting, so. Western medicine has been really helpful, but definitely always
01:08come back to nature, that that's what your body will understand more. I am Marta
01:14Sofer, and I'm the founder of Surya Spa. I've been doing this for 30 years, so I just
01:19keep training here and things that I've learned for more classes that I take to
01:22make things better. Ayurveda is a whole system of life. If you change your diet,
01:28if you meditate, which is very, very important, because you take the stress
01:32out of the body. I'm 58 years old, and I just, I don't have anything. I just don't
01:37have anything that I can say is not working in my body, and I feel great. We
01:41treat every system of the body. The nausea treats the respiratory system.
01:45Nausea normally will take between 45 minutes to an hour. So like if I have
01:50someone that has a cold, or has been coughing, or has any problem with the
01:54respiratory system, I will do, I will use the nausea. Before the consultation, all
01:59the tools are being boiled and sterilized before we use them, so that way we don't
02:04have contamination. Through the pulse, I learned that her limbs were very congested, so I will
02:17try to open all the lymph nodes to drain all her congestion, so that way she can
02:23breathe and taste again. After I do short massage on her face, I will do some marma points that
02:34will open the channels that go to the brain and the nasal passages. At the end, I use the
02:40collagen cream. Original recipe came from my grandmother. What I did is took that
02:44recipe and then combined Ayurveda. The result of that is this incredible cream. And after that, I will do a
02:52short massage, this very energetic kind of vigorous kind of massage on the head. And then I use the
02:57eucalyptus to massage her chest to open all the channels that go to the lungs. Then after that,
03:05I will do a massage on her neck and shoulders, draining more of all the lymph that I put in
03:12the
03:12upper neck, moving more to the lower part of the lymph. And then I will do the buffalo horn,
03:20and I will do the guasa. These tools will help me move the stagnation from the muscles up again to
03:26the lymph and then move them out. After that, I'm just going to put her to sweat. For the steam,
03:35I use water and I use two different kinds of eucalyptus that you can't hear. I actually go and
03:40get them from the mountains and bring them, dry them, and then we use them when we need them. And
03:44then
03:45some time, the time I use it to open again, all the respiratory system. And then I have her smell
03:50that for about five to ten minutes. After she sweats, then I'm going to give her a little massage in
04:12her face, do a little bit of the toner on the face after the sweating to close the pores. And
04:19then I
04:19will use the tuning forks, and that's to vibrate, so through vibration, and opening the marma points.
04:26So therefore, the respiratory system also will help with that.
04:35And then after that, I will make her drop her head back to be able to put the Nasea oil.
04:41Nasea oil is
04:41the medicated oil that I have prepared prior she came. So that will be able to open all the channels
04:46and then make all the mucus come out. Breathe in to your nose, and hold it. Breathe out to your
05:02mouth,
05:03breathe in to your nose, and breathe in to your nose, and breathe in to your nose. And I'll breathe
05:04in like that.
05:09That I will make her sit up and then do some gargle with the salt and warm water. And what
05:15this will do
05:16is we'll make all the mucus come out. Working with Tiffany today was really nice. She was very,
05:25very easy. And it was very gratifying to me to be able to hear her say that she can breathe
05:32better.
05:32My nose feels so nice. Like, I blew it out a bunch of times. So it feels so clean and
05:39open right now.
05:40And in my throat, too. I mean, you can't see it, but my throat...
05:43I can hear the voice. There's a difference between your voice now.
05:45Oh, does it? Is there a difference in my voice? There is. Crazy. That's amazing.
05:49Working with Martha was awesome. This procedure was done literally for me. And it was to my lifestyle,
05:57and just to what caused it. She actually went back and asked, when did this start? And she said it
06:03has
06:03a lot to do with stress, even. She kind of just knew how they connected, and just elaborated on it,
06:09and didn't keep anything from me. She was very open. She's really just here to help people. And they give
06:15you
06:15really good aftercare. So it's not just, like, one and done. Like, you can continue doing this and make it
06:19a lifestyle.
06:20So one of the things that I will recommend for Tiffany is actually keep using the oil that I used
06:25today,
06:25and then put it, like, once or twice a day. This oil helps move the mucus out.
06:30I would definitely recommend this to somebody who has the same problems as me, just because there's so many other
06:36things
06:36that are connected to it. I just feel a lot better. It's been almost a week, and I'm still feeling
06:41this way.
06:42When I first got home, the first day after the procedure, I got off the metro, and I smelled wood,
06:47like, really strong.
06:48And I was like, where is that coming from? And apparently, there's a bunch of wood by the metro. I
06:52had no idea.
06:55The day of the procedure, I sniffed nail polish remover, and I didn't really smell anything.
07:01I don't think I can do that anymore, so my party trick is gone.
