00:09We're so glad you're here. I'm so thrilled. You probably know her best because she's
00:13the longtime makeup artist to one of our favorites which is Gina Rodriguez. Yes,
00:18Gina is my favorite as well and I'm so lucky that I get to work with someone
00:22with such great skin so I get to show off a beautiful healthy glow on her. So
00:28we are here testing dozens upon dozens upon dozens of drugstore highlighters in
00:33a pursuit of getting to the five best. What is the first pick? So the first pick
00:39is the Jordana glow and go creamy strobing stick and I love this. I love
00:46actually all the colors that they had from light, medium to dark so I couldn't
00:52just pick one because I think this whole line is great for every skin tone. Fun
00:57fact this is $4.99. We have a lovely volunteer Amber. Let me try one of these
01:03on you. Amber has such beautiful skin. I love your skin tone. So we're gonna try the
01:10Jordana. So I'm just gonna apply on the cheekbone and then we'll just use a beauty blender.
01:18I think it depends on like the type of person but this little applicator is so
01:23great. You can just literally just draw down your nose, draw on the sides. It's super
01:26creamy so it's not gonna dry so quick. You can really blend it in.
01:34So I really love this pick. I'm glad we did this one. It's so pretty. Thank you. And as
01:41you're wearing it during the day it only looks better. Yeah. Alright, so one down.
01:46What is your second pick? So my second pick comes from Wet n Wild. That's not
01:53surprising at all. I feel like everyone always talks about Wet n Wild's
01:56highlighters because they're great but they're also really cheap. Yes, I mean
02:00it's probably the cheapest line out there and how smooth and soft it is. Yeah. And
02:06this color Precious Petals is a color that's universally flattering. So it's a
02:13little bit of gold to it. So I feel like this can be worn with any skin tone really.
02:20Super soft, universally flattering, which is huge because it makes it totally
02:23foolproof if you want to just go pick it up. Tell us about the application. How
02:27would you put this on? So I would put this on because it's a powder because it's
02:31highly pigmented. I would use a brush and you can just buff it into your skin and
02:36it also helps you to control how much you're putting on because this is so
02:42pigmented and such a, you can have such a wow moment. It helps you to control how
02:46much you're using. Cool. Alright, we are two down and have three to go.
02:50Carissa, take us to our third pick. Okay, it's the Maybelline Master Strobing Stick.
02:56When you're blending it, it almost feels like a really silky powder. I'm like, no.
03:03It's all mine. It's all mine. Luckily, it's very low price. Really pretty. Really
03:08pretty. I love the way it feels. Yeah, it feels really nice. Yeah. So you would just
03:12draw on and blend or how would you? Yeah, you can draw on again because it's cream.
03:16It's easy to use your finger if you're that kind of girl. You can also use a
03:22beauty blender. I love a beauty blender. I could not live without this. So now we are
03:25down to number four. The Almay Instant Glow Highlighting Duo. Ooh, Duo. I know. Two-sided.
03:33Options. Which is really liquidy. You can maybe even put a few drops of this into your
03:40foundation. Pretty. If you wanted like an all-over glow. Ooh, that's nice. It's very light and subtle.
03:45It is very subtle. This little applicator would be really good for like
03:49insides of the eyes or under brow bone. A little inner eye strobing. Exactly. And then the
03:55other side, which is a cream stick. As you can tell, I really like the creams. I feel
04:00like all of these have one big commonality, which is that they're not glittery,
04:05they're not chunky, and they're just really pretty and shimmery. For our next
04:09highlighting model, we have another Refinery29 staff for Jeanette. And for
04:14Jeanette's look, I'm gonna try the Almay Highlighting Duo. Look for sheen
04:21instead of glitter. And I'm gonna use a flat angle brush. And this was the only
04:26pink I really liked because it didn't look too, like I say, like unicorny. So
04:31you want to apply in these areas because that's where the light's hitting. And you
04:36want to have the center of your face more forward where it's more glowing and the
04:44perimeter. That's why you, you contour in the perimeter of the skin.
04:53The last one is by Flower. You have a champagne color, always a favorite of mine,
05:00a little bit of a rose color, and of course the gold. And so this is kind of
05:06cool because you can mix it, you can wear some on the eyes, you can wear a gold on
05:11the eye, and the champagne on the cheek. And this one is especially pigmented.
05:18This is like, we're ending with the major, most intense color pigments. This is the
05:25See Your Highlighter from Space. This is the Space one. This is your Instagram
05:30highlight. Oh my gosh, you know what else is this is amazing for? It just dawned on
05:34me. It's great for like the collarbone area, the shoulder. That's a celebrity
05:40makeup artist right there. That's true, that's true. Like it's not just about here
05:45you guys. We do the whole... You highlight the whole body. Yeah, I'm like getting on the
05:49toes, making sure it's... You highlight toes? No, I don't highlight toes. Somebody
05:54use the champagne color on Lexi. I like to tap off the excess. Oh, that's really pretty with
06:04your blush too. Thanks. I'm going to try this because I'm super excited now to try some like,
06:13right here. What am I doing? I can't really see. I mean, it's like, it's there. It's there? Yeah,
06:19it's super, super, super pigmented. Yeah, there's a little there. I've created a monster,
