00:27Grande's hair and JLo's hair.
00:29He does everyone's hair and then he's doing mine.
00:32So I have had a love-hate relationship with my hair.
00:36Growing up it was kind of like big and flowy and super blonde and I really identified with
00:44having sort of this like wild lion's mane of hair and my hair just naturally has gotten
00:50really thin over the years.
00:52It doesn't match what I think of myself as.
00:55I'm going out with my friends tonight so that I can show my hair off.
00:58You're so excited.

01:01Yeah, I've been dying for this.
01:03Hey guys, my name is Chris Appleton and I'm a celebrity hairstylist.
01:07Now, I'm so excited to be joined today by Sloane because we're going to be showing you a celebrity
01:12inspired look using hair extensions.
01:14You ready?
01:15Very ready.
01:15So the first step is just to blow out your hair.
01:18I did it really quick.
01:19I stretched out Sloane's hair just to take any kinks out ready for the extensions to go
01:23in.
01:27Put in a smaller sized extension in at the root.
01:31Now, you want to always make sure there's hair either side to cover the tracks.
01:34Look where the clips are and then tease those two sections, especially if the hair is slippy
01:39or freshly washed.
01:41I use the Colourwell Court Favourite hair spray just to give it a little bit of grit.
01:48Then what you're going to do is work in sections building weight in about inch to two inch sections
01:54depending on how much hair you have.
02:10I've never gotten hair extensions before.
02:12I've never had long hair.
02:13I want my hair to look a certain way and I just naturally, I'm not going to, I can't
02:18achieve that look.
02:19I can't get it to grow that long.
02:20I can't get it to be thick.
02:21That's just not a thing that you can get your hair to do if your hair is thin.
02:24I've been wanting hair extensions for so long, but I know that they can look kind of like
02:28weird.
02:28Britney Spears 2007.
02:30I'm so excited to have Chris Appleton do it because he is like it.
02:37So the previous extension was slightly more highlighted and this one is more rooted.
02:41So we're going to blend the roots in here at the top and then go for a bit of a
02:44pop of
02:45colour towards the end.
02:49How's it feeling?
02:50I feel like Rapunzel.
02:51Oh, that's a good feeling.
02:54Just a slight diagonal sections.
02:56The hair will fall around the face nicely.
02:57If you put it straight, it just kind of falls away from the face.
03:04And then as the hair lays on top, at this point you get a super nice blend.
03:09That's amazing.

03:11It truly looks like it's my own hair.
03:13Transforms it, doesn't it?
03:23The important part of cutting hair when you have extensions in is to keep the ends super
03:28soft.
03:35I think having hair extensions will just give me more confidence.
03:37It will make me feel kind of more excited and, you know, I want to wear it like a lion's
03:42mane and be all like, yee, look at me.
03:48This is an amazing texturizing spray just to help give us some really nice hold whilst
03:53we style the hair.
04:04It's amazing like what a difference adding the hair can, you know, makes the way you
04:08feel.
04:08Yeah.
04:09I think that is what it was.
04:11I had all of this big hair confidence.
04:13Yeah.
04:13It's like big dick energy, right?
04:15Yeah.
04:15Big hair confidence.

04:17And it didn't, it wasn't the same.
04:19I'd see pictures and I'd see myself in the mirror.
04:21And you're like, so you're like a big, big haired girl at heart inside.

04:25But the reality of it is your hair was like not looking like that.
04:28No, it wasn't.
04:29Well, now all your dreams have come true.
04:31I know.
04:40It looks amazing.
04:42It really feels like hair.
04:43I know.
04:44This is just like, this is baby's first extension.
04:47So I'm going to have a moment.
04:48You're like, it feels like hair.

04:51All of the things that everyone who's like usually has extensions.

05:20Even though my hair is fake, I feel more like myself.
