Fashion vlogger Evelina Barry trades in her California vibes for some east coast fun in Chinatown, New York. Refinery29 editor Annie Georgia Greenberg is tour guide for the day, taking Evelina everywhere from the coziest of family-owned shops to the famed Chinatown Fair arcade, with (what else?) a dim sum stop along the way. Watch and take a daycation -- because not all getaways have to be overnight.

00:06California has always been my first love but New York has just always had that special place in
00:12my heart so today I'm meeting up with Refinery29 editor Annie Greenberg and she's gonna show me
00:18around Chinatown and New York and we're just gonna have so much fun exploring the city.
00:23hey how's it going good morning oh yeah I love this neighborhood it is so vibrant and there's so
00:34many cool things everywhere I wanted to meet Annie because she's just this really cool personality and
00:40I think she just has a really unique style and approach to her wardrobe today I think I'm gonna
00:45take you to one of my favorite stores warm Winnie the owner is really awesome and they have some
00:49great gifts and clothes so we'll do that and then I was thinking we could go eat dim sum dim
00:55sum this
00:56one's amazing and then I was thinking just to have a little bit of fun and we can go to
01:01the Chinatown
01:02arcade yes so I heard that this store is pretty special yes I'm so psyched it's right up my block
01:11which is great but I would come here even if it was a million miles away it's just the sweetest
01:16little
01:16store I've heard so many great things about it I kind of did my research a little bit it's supposed
01:20to be one of those family-owned businesses that has a lot of heart in it how did you get
01:26this started
01:27what was inspiration just spill the beans I grew up in Hawaii moved here and I met my husband surfing
01:34in Montauk we're into the whole travel lifestyle of surf and skate and snowboarding so we wanted to
01:41create a really cozy place that where people can come and hang out and shop a little bit we're
01:46really cool I guess we're just gonna go around and check everything out and I'm I'm excited okay
01:52Chinatown yes one of my favorite things in the shop was the section with a raw denim and it was
02:04just so nice to kind of pick it up and get a feel of it this is like my ideal
02:08silhouette kind of high
02:09waisted a little boxy but then straight leg because you can wear a boot with it paired up with a
02:13nice
02:13striped top or you know some some good sneakers hey yeah the books I can you can never have enough
02:20photo books I think it just makes the house feel warmer more special candles soaps I mean and aside
02:26from that the store just looks damn good so it's really not much not to love this hat though put
02:32it on
02:32okay it's like I think I need it like for New York weather this is amazing well I worked up
02:42an
02:42appetite and I think it's time for lunch all right I'm for it so I was pretty stoked that Andy
02:52was
02:53gonna take me to get some dim sum especially in Chinatown so when the elevators open the store was just
02:58buzzing with so much energy and the servers just going around with these little cards and people
03:03having to pick out whatever they want which is kind of like a typical dim sum but just imagine the
03:08busiest street of New York City in Chinatown with authentic Chinese dim sum and great company
03:18have you ever had dim sum like this before this is the unicorn of all dim sums like for sure
03:25yeah this
03:28is definitely my favorite thing ever a dim sum if you guys ever get dim sum you need to get
03:34this I
03:35don't know what it's called it's like a rice shrimp noodle thing it's amazing
03:43so what's your favorite side of me like part of me um I really like Chinatown obviously I have a
03:50great group of girlfriends and we usually you know go out Friday and Saturday night just low key to some
03:56bars and lots of wine lots of long dinners and then Sunday we kind of recover I love a good
04:03Chinatown

04:11city so do you go to arcades often no I'm not gonna lie to you I'm not a professional arcade
