00:03Dear, dear New York, you're New York, oh we're here in New York, it's New York.
00:12Work clothes, gym clothes, dinner clothes, party clothes, flats, heels, sneakers,
00:15sweaters, jeans, t-shirts, TikToks, got it. Okay so I'm about to go to LA for work,
00:19business, family, friends, beach, you name it, and I have to pack a lot and a
00:23little bit of time and a little bit of space because I'm a carry-on girl. You
00:25guessed it, this is our packing episode of Dear New York, so let's get started.
00:28To me, there are three essential steps to packing. The roller suitcase, the hand
00:34luggage, and the travel outfit. This is casual, baby.
00:43I like to lay out all my items, one by one and then all together, so I know what I'm
00:47working with and I can get a feel for the mood of my trip.
00:54Then it's time for it to get all in the bag.
01:00Next, I tackle my hand luggage. I pack toiletries and clutches so I have purse
01:04options for my trip. I carry multiple books on me at once. If they're paperback, it
01:09should be no problem. Extra shoes to slip on when you get there, a notebook, magnetic
01:14chest, two pairs of sunglasses, and scarf options. The thing about flying is that you've got to look fly.
01:24This is my ideal travel outfit. Finally, the travel outfit. I always wear two jackets, so I have layers,
01:32jacket options for my trip, and extra room in my roller. I always wear my chunkiest shoes on the plane.
01:37It saves room in the roller, and these are one zip off for security. Finally, the travel scarf.
01:43And my favorite tip is wearing a neck scarf, which can double as an eye mask if you want to
01:50catch some Z's.
01:53And finally, the hardest part. Making the flight.
02:02Oh, damn it. I forgot my... Thank you.
