00:00On Monday, California Governor Gavin Newsom declared himself and his wife to be victims of President Trump and the Justice
00:07Department.
00:08To get me, he's coming after my wife, Jen, a public servant, a woman who's dedicated her life to supporting
00:16women and girls.
00:19So without saying what was being investigated, Newsom also failed to mention a key detail,
00:24that the Biden DOJ began investigating people in his orbit as early as 2022, four years ago,
00:32including his former chief of staff, who ultimately pled guilty to fraud and other charges in May.
00:38Back in March, the Daily Mail ran a story claiming that Governor Newsom's wife and her firm pocketed more than
00:43$3 million from a gender stereotypes charity.
00:47For more on this, we're joined by the Daily Mail's chief investigative reporter, Josh Boswell.
00:51Well, Josh, great to see you. So what made you look into Newsom's wife in the first place and what
00:55did you find?
00:57Well, there are just always a lot of questions that seem to be swirling around the Newsoms and their finances
01:02have been for years.
01:03And so I thought, you know, this is a man who clearly is going to be running for president.
01:08This is worth looking at, you know, what their finances are, what the shape of them are.
01:12And so when I had a look at Jennifer Newsom's charity, I found that she was paying herself since 2012
01:19$3.7 million.
01:21And this is a lot of money. When you look at the amount that the charity brings in, it's sort
01:26of one to 1.7 million a year.
01:29And she's paying up to a third of that to herself and her own company, $300,000 a year.
01:35Now, that is, I did a bit of data analysis looking at what charities that size usually pay their executives.
01:42And she was in the top 5% of all charities in the nation for pay.
01:49So DOJ, of course, doesn't comment on the specifics of this.
01:54We've really only heard from Gavin Newsom claiming this investigation is targeting them,
01:59even though, as we mentioned, it started in 2022 in his orbit.
02:03Do you think that the charity is the reason DOJ might be investigating her?
02:08There's a whole bunch of reasons, potentially.
02:10There are a lot of questions around their finances.
02:12So the charity could be one of them.
02:14Now, it is legal for a charity to pay whatever they want to their executives.
02:18But, you know, one of the issues they might be looking at is who are the donors to the charity
02:22that are financing that pay?
02:24What kind of relationships do they have with the California government that Newsom is in charge of?
02:28There's also, you know, if you look at his income and he's released at least partly to journalists in closed
02:35door viewing sessions, his tax returns.
02:39And if you look at that, his income, it's about 1.2 to 1.4 million a year.
02:44And it just doesn't add up for all of his expenses.
02:47He's got massive mortgages, $625,000 in mortgage payments.
02:52And he's got at least a million dollars in living expenses.
02:55And the two just don't add up.
02:57I would be interested in that if I were an IRS investigator.
03:01One other thing to look at here is the way that his property transactions are structured lead to a lot
03:08of questions.
03:09When he bought his $3.7 million Sacramento estate, it was done through an LLC, but that LLC doesn't seem
03:17to have appeared on his tax returns.
03:19There's all kind of questions of why he would do it that way.
03:22And he hasn't answered those satisfactorily.
03:24So if I'm IRS, I'm looking at that, too, thinking maybe there's an issue here.
03:29We've yet to see what the actual details are, of course.
03:33Yeah, I know that was a bit long-winded, but I wanted you guys to hear all of that and
03:37get all of that information in regards to this investigation of the Newsoms, okay?
03:45Because his wife recently went on to BS Now, formerly known as MSNBC.
03:53Yeah, it's called MS Now, but, you know, I call it BS Now because that's all they spied out as
03:59a bunch of BS.
04:00But to be honest, there were some good questions being asked in this interview at Gavin Newsom's wife.
04:07And I want you guys to pay close attention to how she answers it because one of the questions or
04:12one of the things that she attempts to do here is blame the investigation on Trump.
04:17But as you heard in that very first, that opening clip that you guys saw, that was a bit longer
04:21than usual.
04:22I know, but hopefully you paid attention to that whole thing.
04:24The investigation started in 2022, well before Uncle Trump even got in office, okay?
04:32So this had nothing to do with Trump.
04:34I'm sure Trump was excited about it, right?
04:37But the start of this investigation had nothing to do with Trump.
04:41This started under Joe Biden.
04:42So, with that being said, let's hop into this clip with Gavin Newsom's wife.
04:49Check it out.
04:52Enemies joining me now for her first interview about this investigation is Jennifer Siebel Newsom.
04:57Jennifer, I'm so glad you're here.
05:00This is an ordeal.
05:02Do you have any more information about what exactly the Justice Department is claiming to be looking for?
05:10No, this is a fishing expedition.
05:13I mean, this is typical Trump fashion.
05:16Go after your enemies.
05:17And so you'd have to ask the DOJ.
05:19But the irony is that this all happened as I was premiering.
05:23See that?
05:24Already.
05:24Already.
05:25Trying to blame Trump.
05:26But this investigation started under Joe Biden.
05:30So how is this Trump's fault?
05:33Exactly.
05:34It isn't.
05:35But, of course, these folks are liars.
05:37And that's all they do.
05:38My latest documentary, Misrepresentation Rise Up, which looks at the myriad ways the patriarchy conservatives harass, threaten, intimidate, and try
05:51to silence women who speak truth to power.
05:54And the irony of all ironies is that life in this instance is imitating art.
06:02And it's here in front of us under Trump's leadership.
06:06Is it having an impact on your work?
06:09Because the investigation is allegedly looking into your nonprofit that focuses on gender equity.
06:16How is this impacting you and your business, essentially?
06:21Look, I've written, directed, and produced five documentaries that expose harmful gender stereotypes and norms and the benefits to society
06:31when we value women, when we value the feminine,
06:34when we help men, when we help men lean into care at home, and I will keep doing this work.
06:42I am very proud of the work that I do.
06:45We're making an impact in the world.
06:48The world is better off when women are supported.
06:51Children are better off when women's wealth, health, and safety are addressed.
06:57Our communities are healthier, and our economy thrives.
07:01The Trump administration has been using the Department of Justice, it's no surprise, to launch investigations and prosecutions of people
07:09that the president sees as his political opponents.
07:12But is it true that this investigation started during the Biden administration?
07:19Here comes the stuttering.
07:21You know, I don't know the details.
07:24I do know that...
07:26Oh, so now you don't know the details.
07:35Now she don't know anything about it.
07:37She don't know the details.
07:40Now watch her jump back to trying to blame Trump in some way, shape, or fashion.
07:45I don't know the details.
07:47I do know that Trump was coming after my husband back when Biden was president, and Biden was running for
07:58the presidency, and I thought it was ironic.
08:00So, look, this is a phishing expedition, and I think what you're saying is that it's just been going on
08:09for a long time.
08:11My husband is Trump's most outspoken critic, and he's the GOP's biggest, you know, I don't know.
08:21They've always targeted my husband, and whether it's the GOP themselves or, you know, their media empire with Rupert Murdoch
08:31and the like,
08:32we're just, you know, kind of sitting ducks in that regard because they think that my husband's aspiring for the
08:39presidency,
08:39and they want to silence him, and therefore they go after his wife and those close to him.
08:52Well, I think what you're saying is it's been going on for a long time.
08:56Yeah, that's exactly what she said, but also she said that it started under the Biden administration.
09:02But, of course, then she runs to, well, during the Biden administration,
09:08when Trump was talking about my husband, what does that have to do with anything?
09:14What does that have to do with anything?
09:21Oh, man, she just got exposed.
09:24And number two, ma'am, Jennifer, your husband is not, will not, will never be a president, ever.
09:34I feel pretty comfortable and confident saying that.
09:38He has run California into the dirt, into the ground.
09:44And you think people are going to vote for that to happen across the entire country?
09:48I highly doubt it.
09:50Highly, highly doubt it.
09:52Okay?
09:53The American people are way smarter than that.
09:56All right?
09:57Way smarter than that.
09:59This guy can't even run a single state.
10:01Hey, wasn't he mayor at some point as well before that?
10:05He couldn't even be a mayor correctly.
10:08Now he can't even be a great governor.
10:10What makes you think he's going to be a great president?
10:13We don't care about this man running for president.
10:16He is a non-factor.
10:19Non-factor.
10:20Ron DeSantis mopped the floor with this guy when they debated.
10:23What was that?
10:24A couple of years ago now?
10:25A few years ago now?
10:27Ron DeSantis mopped the floor with him.
10:30Clean sweeped him.
10:31All you got to do is bring up California and his whole run is over with.
10:36He's cooked.
10:37Finito.
10:37Finished.
10:42You know, this guy is...
10:44It's laughable that she thinks he's a serious candidate to run for president.
10:48It's absolutely laughable.
10:50It's kind of laughable that he thinks he's a serious candidate for president.
10:52But the guy seems evil to me.
10:55I mean, he just looks like an evil villain character.
10:57You know what I mean?
10:58Like that image that they put up on the screen of him a minute ago.
11:01Like he just looks like a...
11:03Where was that image?
11:05Was it that one?
11:05This one.
11:06He just looks like an evil villain character.
11:09You know?
11:13But y'all let me know in the comments if you think I'm wrong.
11:15Okay?
11:16Y'all let me know in the comments.
11:18Is he aspiring for the presidency?
11:21Here goes the royal salad.
11:23I believe right now we are focused on California.
11:27We built a foundation.
11:29I've been focused on women and children and communities.
11:32I'm really proud of the work we're doing to close the women's wealth gap,
11:35the women's wage gap, to get women on public company boards.
11:38I'm really proud of the work we're doing with our Cal Kid and Cal Savers accounts,
11:43before Trump accounts,
11:44and the financial literacy that's being mandated in all high schools.
11:48I'm just...
11:48You know, we're trying to set California up for success.
11:51We are the fourth largest economy under my husband's leadership.
11:55California GDP has surged 40%.
11:58It's higher than Germany and China's,
12:02faster than the U.S.'s GDP growth.
12:04It's really exciting to be in California.
12:08Diversity is our secret sauce.
12:10It's what my husband and I stand for and represent and champion.
12:13And so I guess in that regard, we're a threat to the GOP.
12:20But right now we're focused on California and we're focused on saving our democracy
12:24because clearly we have an unhinged leader who is coming at his political enemies
12:31and trying to intimidate us all.
12:35So fear, distrust, and chaos.
12:38And we have to right this ship, not just in our country, but for the world.
12:43The world is looking at us going,
12:46what is going on in America right now or in the United States of America right now?
12:49And they're extremely concerned and it's destabilizing.
12:53And so we have an opportunity to right the ship, again,
12:56not just in California, but across the country and save our democracy.
13:00Jennifer, thank you so much for...
13:01Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
13:08I don't buy any of that nonsense gobbledygook.
13:11Which, also, I don't know why politicians do this.
13:15Especially leftists, right?
13:18They'll sit here and say, well, you know, I'm focused on this other thing.
13:23I'm not worried about president.
13:24Yes, you are.
13:25Like, shut up.
13:28Like, do you think we're stupid?
13:31Do you think we're stupid or we're dumb?
13:33You know what I mean?
13:33Like, clearly you think we're one of them.
13:35Because you sit here lying to our faces.
13:37Well, you know, we're focused on California.
13:40Man, shut up.
13:42He can't run for re-election.
13:45What do you mean, focused on California?
13:47What?
13:52It's clear as day what is happening here.
13:55It's as clear as day.
13:56You'd have to be as blind as a bat not to see it.
14:00Stevie Wonder could see that.
14:02You know?
14:03So, like, why do they just lie?
14:06It's just like, bro, that is something that is so stupid to lie about.
14:11You know?
14:11Of all of the things you could lie about, you're going to lie about actually running for president?
14:15Well, we can clearly see that you're gearing up to run for president.
14:17And you've been doing it for years now.
14:20Testing the waters.
14:24I don't know, man.
14:26I think that's silly.
14:27But y'all let me know if you feel the same way in the comments below.
14:30But, yeah, great question that she asked, right?
14:36Or great state.
14:37I guess, no, it was formed in the, it was put in the form of a question where she said,
14:45wasn't it, didn't the investigation start under the Biden administration?
14:49Which is a fair question.
14:51And that came from BS now, which is shocking.
14:54Right?
14:54Very, very shocking.
14:55And you saw her, you know, start to stumble over her words.
15:02And then just talked about a bunch of nothing, like Kamala used to in her gobbledygook speeches.
15:10Which also speaks to something else.
15:12And that is, who are the Democrats going to run for president?
15:16I think it's going to be somebody out of left field, like Josh Shapiro or somebody like that.
15:21Or maybe a Westmore.
15:25That's what I think.
15:26it's not gonna be one of these big names it's not gonna be AOC it's not gonna be Gavin Newsom
15:31it's not gonna be Kamala Harris it's gonna be like one of those guys that's like there but not
15:37they're not like in the very top you know as far as predictions go right now or polling goes right
15:44now I think it's gonna be one of them that actually ends up being their nominee at least
15:49they better hope so because that's that is the only and I repeat only even remote chance that they
15:57have of winning is getting somebody that's a tiny semblance of normal like Josh Shapiro or Westmore
16:07you get somebody like Gavin Newsom or Kamala or uh um or um Pothole Pete
16:18bro you lost the race before it even started you know what I mean at least you got a tiny
16:22bit of
16:23a chance I still think they're gonna lose regardless but you got a tiny bit of a chance
16:27with one of them even though I think you know once again those aren't great candidates either but
16:32at least a smidge resembles some normalcy but anyway y'all get into the comments let me know
16:38your thoughts and your opinions as always stay safe out there peace and love I'm out
