00:13Opposition Chief Whip Marvin Gonzalez is warning to Attorney General John Jeremy on TV6's Morning Edition as the opposition People's
00:21National Movement continues to refute the government's calls for the party to make public their source of funding for the
00:27recent redevelopment works done on Balisey House, the PNM's headquarters.
00:32Gonzalez says that the preliminary unexplained wealth order obtained by police stemmed from a report commissioned by the AG.
00:40The order that was obtained by the police in relation to the unexplained wealth for the PNM emerged out of
00:49a report that was commissioned by the Attorney General.
00:52And that report is dated the 17th of June 2026.
00:57The report is very clear that it makes no finding of guilt.
01:00It makes no finding of criminality or anything like that.
01:03It was commissioned by the Attorney General and it was presented to the Attorney General.
01:08He emphasised that there was no evidence of wrongdoing in the report.
01:12In reading that report that was commissioned by the Attorney General, I thought I would have seen the evidence of
01:21dirty money funding Balisey House.
01:23I thought I would have seen the evidence of drug money funding the reconstruction and the refurbishment of Balisey House.
01:33I thought I would have seen evidence of corrupt activities funding Balisey House.
01:38And therefore, I say today, as we have indicated time and time again, that the Prime Minister and the Attorney
01:45General are pathological, liars and deceivers.
01:51And so far, they have uttered and they have submitted not one iota of evidence to support what they are
01:58saying.
01:58Gonzalez says that this is something that should raise concerns among the entire population.
02:03It should concern every single citizen of this country.
02:08I don't know any criminal investigation that must be triggered by a report that was commissioned by the Attorney General's
02:19office.
02:20A political appointee who has indicated that he intends to go to war with members of the opposition, members of
02:29the People's National Movement.
02:31It should concern every citizen that that report that was commissioned by the Attorney General finds its way on the
02:37desk of the Commission of Police.
02:39And as a result of that, just two weeks after, they were able to go before the court and convince
02:47a judge to issue an unexplained wealth order.
02:50Gonzalez also confirmed that he will have more to say in the coming days as the PNM's lawyers get ready
02:56to defend the party.
