00:00Under the ongoing Venezuela Rises Again project, crews are working floor by floor to repair load-bearing wells and stabilized
00:07complexes that manage to withstand the worst of the June 24th seismic activity.
00:12For a closer look at these indoor engineering operations, we connect live with our correspondent Belenelo Santos, who is standing
00:19by on site at Mare Uno Complex.
00:23Hello, studios. How are you? We are coming to you from La Guaira, particularly from Mare Abajo, and we are
00:30inside one of the buildings that the Project Venezuela Renace, or Venezuela Rises Again, is actually working at.
00:38We are at a different apartment complex right now. It is called Mare Uno, and one of the squats is
00:45working right now inside every apartment.
00:48We are on the last floor right now, and we have work right beside me, and also work right in
00:57the apartment that is next to it.
00:59The crews are underway inspecting particularly the walls. This is a building in which the walls are the main structural
01:09component, instead of it being a column, for example.
01:14So, every wall is crucial for the structure of the whole building.
01:20The building has been inspected, and they have decided that it can very much be repaired.
01:27It is not compromised structurally at this moment.
01:31Actually, there are people living here on some of these floors, those who have been able and wanted to stay
01:38here, and the other ones are staying right outside the building on tents that have been provided as part of
01:47the general assistance.
01:49So, some are camping outside while reparations continue.
01:54This is one of the projects completely underway.
01:59This is how some of this building, some of the apartments, the ones that have suffered damages, but not structural
02:05damages, or at least not damages that compromise the building as a whole.
02:09So, they're taking place, and they have been for the past two weeks, with the aim of providing the necessary
02:16assistance and security, the sense of safety for the families to come back inside and be able to recover their
02:23buildings, their homes, as soon as possible.
02:27This is underway right now in La Guayera, and you're seeing it here in Telestor English.
02:31I go back to you.
