00:14In Mareabajo, La Guayra, reconstruction work began weeks ago.
00:18Located just meters from the sea, these apartment buildings were given a yellow classification following the professional inspection.
00:25They are not structurally compromised but do require repairs.
00:28That is a task that is being carried out by the workers of the plan Venezuela Rises Again.
00:36We have crews ready to rehabilitate 172 homes that are currently being attended to in order to protect the lives
00:44of the Venezuelan people.
00:48Who were affected on June 24 by the double earthquake that struck this area?
00:53Of the more than 9,600 buildings already assessed in La Guayra State, 1,785 have received a yellow classification,
01:02as is the case of Mare One Tower.
01:05The specialists came first, the engineers, the structural pathologists, the surveyors who inspected the site.
01:14Well, they are the ones who know, they are the experts.
01:19And they determined that the foundation was affected.
01:23But its performance allowed the structure to be repaired rather than demolished.
01:28The work is being carried out without rest so that residents can resume life home as soon as possible.
01:36My apartment suffered some cracks, mostly around the large window, which was the most affected area.
01:44They have really been working hard.
01:48They are doing a good job, both the engineers, the architects, and their entire team.
01:55The team has been here consistently from Monday through Monday.
01:59They have even worked on Sundays.
02:00It seems that starting next week, they will begin working at night so they can deliver the tower as quickly
02:06as possible.
02:07During a supervision tour of the work, the president of the Venezuela Rises Again Plan said that the repairs take
02:13into account the characteristics of each structure and its location.
02:17The goal is to urgently address the population seats.
