00:00We are proposing that the THA has, in fact, we will have asked leave of the Executive Council next week
00:10to set the date of May 1st as the start date for Tongan Country Planning in Tobago.
00:19And we hope that the Ministry, we are confident that the Ministry of Planning and the Minister of Planning will,
00:25current ones, will sit and work with us to ensure that that happens.
00:29Mr. James said the Tobago Appeal Board is also on the horizon.
00:35We will also ask leave of the Executive Council to allow us to develop our own appeal board in Tobago.
00:45We feel strongly that Tobago should decide for itself.
00:50Now, apart from the plans that we have to zone the island differently, to do all the spatial planning required
01:00for Tobago, we want to telegraph to the public that when we have finished creating the plans, that we will
01:10have a one-stop shop, a one-stop approval window in the THA.
01:17Mr. James said a short approval window of two weeks is being looked at.
01:22Our hope is to seek on staff from all the statutory bodies that affect or impact the procurement, but impact
01:34the approval process.
01:35So we will bring people from WASA, people from Wokes Division, people from Public Health and so on, people from
01:41Fire Service into one location.
01:43So when you submit your plans, we are going to determine a short time for approval, and for now we
01:51are thinking that we can be able to do that in two weeks.
01:54James spoke at the Post-Executive Council media briefing on Thursday.
