00:03what's one thing that you learned or were you most surprised by when you got here?
00:09Most surprised?
00:12Or maybe biggest adjustment.
00:14Biggest adjustment? Speed of play, by far.
00:17That's the main thing I'd adjust to, especially when I first got here.
00:21You know, I got here in the spring, so I was able to get into it a little bit.
00:27But, like, just seeing how fast stuff moves and just, like, I don't know.
00:33That was the main thing I would say.
00:35Speed of play was the hardest thing to adjust to.
00:37And then with that, too, you also had a position change.
00:40You came in as a defensive end, one of the top recruit defensive ends in the country.
00:44And, you know, I laughed when I watched you walk in, Edric,
00:46and I'm like, bro, this guy ain't going to be a defensive end for long.
00:49Like, he's so broad. He's so big.
00:50That's okay. It's all right, man.
00:52Like, not everybody's got a frame that can do that.
00:55I tell people, if you can grow into a bigger position
00:57and keep most of all of your athleticism, like, that's a good thing.
01:01What has that transition been like kicking down inside?
01:06At first, I'm not going to lie, it was pretty hard.
01:08Because you got to think, D-tackle, everything happens, like, here.
01:12So, like, D-in, like, especially, so, for instance, pass rush,
01:15like, if you can get your speed, power steps in.
01:19But 3-10? No, no.
01:21You got to work your move right there.
01:23And you got to, at first, it was just like,
01:25it just felt like stuff was moving so fast across my face
01:27because I'm in the middle and stuff like that.
01:30But as I caught, I had a great teacher, Taliq.
01:33Taliq was great.
01:34So he was able to, I would sit down with him, like, man, it's just,
01:38it was times where I was like, man, this is hard.
01:40Like, it's just, everything's moving way faster than it did at the end.
01:44At the end, you got time to set the edge.
01:46But at 3-10, you got to set it now.
01:48You got to be the setter.
01:49So it was just great that I had Taliq with me, a great 3-10.
01:54I'm doing great things in the league right now.
01:56So he really helped me push my way up to become a decent 3-10 now.
