00:05which seems like an absolute crazy question that people are still asking that because they'll lift up list off all
00:10the losses that he's had in the past six years.
00:12They say, oh, it's always clock management, always missed field goals, always the offense not being on the field long
00:18enough, the defense kind of having to pick up some of the weight.
00:21I don't like looking at that because what I see is a bunch of losses against the national champions, the
00:28other team that went to the national championship, Big Ten champions.
00:31So what do you have to say as far as people coming at Ryan Day, maybe not being that aggressive
00:36kind of coach that you would want?
00:39But at the same time, all of his losses are to teams that are very, very good that end up
00:43winning national championships.
00:44So I'm going to sound like a hypocrite here because you can see the Packers helmet behind me.
00:48And as you can imagine, I've been reading tweets and forming my own opinions on Matt LaFleur over the past
00:54couple of days and how Green Bay had.
00:56So I would rank them this way.
00:58You know, my threads basically Green Bay's collapse, Ohio State losing.
01:03And then, of course, the Browns, which I mean, the Browns, we don't have time for that.

01:14If you compare what happened there with Green Bay and Ohio State, for example, Green Bay has flown four double
01:19-digit leads in the last year, improbable losses to Cleveland, the Bears, and kind of what happened Sunday.
01:26I just think it's a different game than what Ohio State has there.

01:33You're not, other than the Michigan loss in 2024, Ryan Day doesn't have a flagrantly bad loss.

01:41Like losing to Miami.
01:42Yeah, Miami was good.
01:43They were a playoff team that had won a playoff game and had two first-round edge rushers.
01:48This game, there hasn't been a game where I think, oh, my gosh, they lost to Indiana.
01:53Indiana played very well that night.
01:54That was a defensive struggle that went the other way and might have been a different game had Fernando Mendoza
01:59got knocked out on that first play.
02:02I look at it as, yes, you have to acknowledge that having a 20-point lead heading into the fourth
02:09quarter, you've got to close that game out, and maybe you can pick at the play calling a little bit
02:12in the fourth quarter.
02:14But as far as Ryan Day being the right guy for this job, it's not even close.
02:17Look at the winning percentage.
02:18Look at the, you know, he has a national title two years ago in what seemed like impossible situations, and
02:27he's won plenty of games against top five teams.
02:30So this reminds me a little bit still of when they lost at Oregon a couple years ago.
02:35You know, that was really close, you know, one slide close to them winning that game.
02:41So when you go out on the road in college football in those environments and lose, I think you have
02:45to accept it's going to happen a little bit more in this era.
