00:02The Government of Venezuela released an updated official report detailing the
00:06figures on the damage, losses and measures taken after the earthquakes that
00:10struck on June 24. According to the official report released on July 12,
00:142026, the death toll has risen to 4,490 while the number of injured remains at
00:2016,740. Authorities also reported that 6,462 people have been rescued. The
00:27report indicates that 120,794 families have received assistance and 19,583
00:35people in temporary camps while 17,907 families have lost their homes. In
00:42addition, 856 buildings have collapsed and buildings have been damaged and 190
00:48have collapsed. Relief efforts have included the distribution of 9,995 tons of
00:54food and 18,507,166 liters of water while 32,401 people have received medical
01:03treatment. A total of 2,422 international rescue workers are assisting the
01:09country alongside 31,837 deployed personnel and 3,535 volunteers. Finalist authorities
01:18also reported the establishment of 190 temporary camps and the recording of 1,222
01:24aftershocks.
