00:00It feels like it's the same story every year, Tom, and that is the Arizona Diamondbacks.
00:05They're really well run. They're never fantastic. It feels like they try and like sort of hang
00:10around and then go on a run like they did to get to that World Series a few years ago
00:14against Texas.
00:15They're having a nice weekend. They beat the Padres. They already won the series against
00:19the Dodgers. I think Arizona's issue is the back end of that lineup. And honestly,
00:25unfortunately, they're pitching. Their pitching is probably going to have to get better.
00:29But if you have watched Tom Arizona through the years, it feels like they're involved at the
00:34deadline every year with some tinkering every year with a player or two to see if they can make it.
00:39I think that'll be their temptation once again is to make a little bit of a push here to see
00:44if
00:44they can grab a wild card spot. Obviously, they're not going to catch L.A. for the division.
00:47Right. No one's catching the Dodgers at this point. But the top portion of their lineup,
00:52I think, is pretty darn good. But to your point, the back end of the lineup and the bullpen
00:58and the pitching is just not well-rounded enough. You know, not having Corbin Burns is obviously an
01:04issue. We know that. And when you have pitchers that just don't live up to expectations and you
01:10get Zach Gallin back and he's really not been great at all. And now he's going on the I.L.
01:15And you have all the stars at the top of your lineup, Corbin Carroll and Quetel Marte and Perdomo.
01:19You have some great pieces, but it's just not a well-rounded enough offense.
01:22And it's just not a well-rounded enough pitching staff. That's what it comes down to.
01:25I think they'll push the wild card. I don't think they'll make it.
