00:00The Express reported today that High Court Judge Margaret Muhammad on Friday granted an order to the TTPS to compel
00:07the PNM to explain its funding for the multi-million dollar construction of its headquarters.
00:13The party issued a release today rejecting any suggestion that there was any improper, unlawful or secretive about the funding
00:21of its headquarters or fundraising activities undertaken by the party over many years ago.

00:38For well over 15 years, the People's National Movement has engaged in lawful fundraising through party activities, public appeals, initiatives
00:47and voluntary donations from thousands of members, supporters and well-wishers who believed in preserving one of Trinidad and Tobago's
00:55most enduring democratic institutions.

01:11It party pointed out that the campaign then escalated through the abuse of parliamentary privilege where serious unsubstantiated allegations were
01:20made against the PNM under the protection of parliament.
01:23It added, it has now progressed to the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service allegedly seeking and receiving judicial authority to
01:32pursue what is a politically motivated witch hunt.
