00:06Brian Cook was at the top of my list, partly because I know him and I like him and I
00:10saw him play at UC.
00:12But I also thought that Geno Stone was the biggest weakness in the lineup on defense last year.
00:18I'm not alone in thinking that.
00:19And the Brian Cook upgrade from Geno Stone is dramatic.
00:23Brian is great at everything that Geno is bad at.
00:27He's a great tackler. He's great at getting to the football, closing space in the secondary.
00:32I think Brian Cook is going to make a huge difference.
00:36It's a three-year deal. He's thrilled to be home playing in front of friends and family.
00:40So that one, to me, is almost as big of an upgrade as Dexter Lawrence is.
00:44Something we've talked quite a bit about is just how Brian Cook is going to benefit Jordan Battle and his
00:49continued development.
00:51How do you see, you know, maybe Battle taking that next step, playing alongside of Brian Cook?
00:55Brian Cook and Kyle Duggar, because I think Kyle Duggar is kind of the person that's flying under the radar
01:03of these players that they've signed.
01:05Kyle Duggar, two years ago, got a huge contract from the Patriots.
01:09Then they changed coaches.
01:10He wasn't as good a fit under Mike Vrabel.
01:13And he winds up going to Pittsburgh and then Cincinnati.
01:15So I think Brian Cook and Kyle Duggar are both going to help Jordan Battle.
01:21Jordan played pretty well in the second half of the season last year.
01:24The Bengals have always liked his attitude, his, you know, X's and O's knowledge and his commitment to that kind
01:32of stuff.
01:32So I would expect Jordan to play a lot better now that he's got two safeties of that caliber lining
01:39up with him.
