00:24four in, four out, and it was cooking like that?
00:27I would probably say my junior at Alabama.
00:29That was probably the last time we had a group where we legitimately,
00:32speaking for the inside, have five legitimate starters on the D-tackle spot.
00:36So it was really good for us.
00:37I mean, we all played around the same amount of plays,
00:40and the production didn't drop off, you know, and that's something we brought ourselves in.
00:43How much different does that feel on the sideline knowing you're rotating at that degree?
00:49I guess how does that change when you're on the sideline?
00:52Well, you just know you're always fresh, and that's huge for a game,
00:54especially the game like yesterday when it was super hot,
00:57where the field temperature was in the hundreds.
00:58So it was definitely for our advantage.

01:04and then he sticks his nose in there late on a key special team stop
01:07when kind of the game's on the line.
01:10Thoughts on your kicker's job in week one?
01:12Ever since I got here from day one, I tell him how much I love him,
01:15and I thank him every single day because I know how important kickers are,
01:17and I've been a part of teams where you don't trust your kicker like that.
01:20So you can even ask from day one since I got here,
01:24I've always said, man, I just really appreciate you.
01:26So, I mean, he's awesome.
01:28Is the biggest advantage of that rotation you guys being fresh
01:31or the offensive linemen not knowing what's coming next?
01:35I would say a little bit of both.
01:36I think once you get into the game in the second and third quarter,
01:39you start to get into a rhythm,
01:40and when you're constantly switching back and forth,
01:42it makes them adjust, you know what I mean?
01:43Because I'm not the same rusher as B.J. Hill or Dex or Chris,
01:47so I think they're both benefits for us.
01:50How many times have you gotten Baker personally?
01:52I think this was the second time.
01:54The last time I got him, he was in Cleveland.
01:55Okay.
01:56Yeah.
01:57Not to make it negative, but you guys four offsides yesterday.

02:02Yeah, I don't know.

02:03I mean, we looked at the film.

02:23Yeah, I mean, this is by far the fewest amount of snaps I've played in a long time,
02:26but it was really good.
02:27The rotation was awesome.
02:28And again, come third and fourth quarter, we were fresh and just rolling.
02:32The game that ends up in your sack there,
02:34how much is that designed for you to go through,
02:37or is it sometimes just Dexter ends up being the one that comes through on that?
02:40You know, the thing about games is you don't decide who comes free.
02:44You know what I mean?
02:44You run them with the intent to pick,
02:46and then the goal is to get a two-on-one on whichever player,
02:48which for us will be the guard,
02:49and the guard decided to stay with Dexter,
02:51and he cut me free.
02:53So, I mean, the guard kind of decided who was free there.
02:55It's got to be one of the great feelings when all of a sudden you're like,
02:57oh, it's me.
02:58Now you've got to finish the play.

03:02I would think for most of your career,
03:04you've been the guy double-teamed the most in the middle.
03:08What's it like to be next to a guy who's going to be the guy that gets
03:12double-teamed the most?
03:15Dexter's role and his impact on this team,
03:17it goes far beyond what you see on the stat sheet.
03:20And, you know, for me personally,
03:21I try to do whatever I can to help him out,
03:24call games to get him out of those situations,
03:26and just work with him because I know how it could be frustrating,
03:28but, I mean, just a testament to what kind of leader he is,
03:31how much of a, yeah, just a leader he is,
03:33doesn't complain about it,
03:33just embraces that role and, you know, goes for it.
