The capital wasn't spared from the frustrations of the Telstra outage as some businesses struggled to process transactions. And while public services in Canberra appeared largely unaffected the impacts on the transport network in New South Wales flowed across the border.

00:04I've been lifting kegs all day. I've been working hard, you know.

00:36meant the Telstra outage didn't become a matter of life and death.
00:40Our staff have continued, both in ACT Ambulance and ACT Fire and Rescue,
00:45to take triple zero calls during the reported outages
00:48of the mobile network earlier today.
00:50And our staff are continually and continuously monitoring that situation.
00:54Though some passenger journey planning services were impacted,
00:57local public transport ticketing was unaffected.
01:01But buses replaced the train from Kingston to Sydney
01:04due to outage-related rail line closures in New South Wales.

01:09And Central will be right.
01:10Yeah.
01:11Sydney Central only.

01:16they said, go to the station.
01:18They'll put on coaches.
01:19If you're there, you can get on the coach.
01:22Once the coaches are full, they will go.
01:24And if you're not there, you'll miss out.
01:26Some were happy with the slower approach to the day.

01:36oh, I guess whatever happens, it'll be OK.
