00:13In a Facebook post, Zaid said all shareholding data is kept by the Companies Commission of Malaysia.
00:19He asked what confidentiality remains after investigations have been completed.
00:24Zaid said Law and Institutional Reform Minister Azalina Othman Syed should have demonstrated accountability by giving a proper reply to
00:33the parliamentary question.
00:35In her written reply, Azalina had said that the information sought could not be disclosed as they form part of
00:41the investigation files and are protected under applicable laws.
00:45She was responding to Petaling Jaya MP Lee Chien Chung, who had asked for details of Azam's share purchase transactions
00:53from 2012 to 2026.
00:56In a written reply, Azalina said a special task force set up in February has comprehensively examined issues surrounding Azam's
01:04share ownership and asset declarations.
01:07She said appropriate action has been taken based on the task force's findings.
01:13Azam stepped down as MACC Chief Commissioner in May after serving six years in the role.
