00:00Johor Barisan National Chief on Hafiz Ghazi has dismissed calls for a dialogue with Mazli Malik
00:07ahead of state elections on Saturday.
00:10The caretaker, Menteri Besar, said Mazli should instead take on his rivals
00:15for the Putri Wangsa seat ahead of the polls.
00:18Mazli is one of five candidates vying for the seat,
00:21alongside Rashifa Al-Junaid of Muda, Teotia Ling of BN,
00:26Nicholas Paul Vincent of Bersama and independent candidate Wang Wee-seong.
00:31He had on previous occasion rejected Mazli's call for a debate,
00:35saying engaging in verbal sparring and open debates was not the Johor way.
00:40Last night, On Hafiz informed organisers that he would not attend a dialogue scheduled for tomorrow
00:47due to prior commitments.
00:49Organisers including RTM, Estra Awani and Sina Harian
00:53confirm the dialogue will proceed with other panellists.
00:57On Hafiz also criticised Mazli's record as Simpang Renggam MP,
01:01saying constituents were still waiting for promises
01:05such as abolishing the Simpang Renggam toll to be fulfilled.
01:09He said Mazli has yet to deliver on those pledges,
01:12even as he campaigns for a different seat in Johor.
