00:00Gabungan Rakyat Sabah chairman Hajji Noor has not ruled out possible seat overlaps with
00:05ally Pakatan Harban in the upcoming state election.
00:08Hajji, who is also the president of Parti Gagasan Rakyat Sabah, hopes that such overlaps
00:14do not happen given the two coalitions' decision to tie up for the state polls, Sinar
00:19Haryan reported.
00:20He also took a jab at certain individuals lobbying for candidacy, saying some ended
00:25up leaving the party after failing to secure a nomination, though he did not name who he
00:29was referring to.
00:31He said it is up to the party president or the GRS chairman to decide who deserves to
00:35be a candidate.
00:37He added that they were not expelled, but chose to leave.
00:41Yesterday, GRS Deputy Secretary General Armizan Muhammad Ali said the decision of several members
00:46to support other parties, including Warisan, should be viewed as part of a cleansing process
00:51within the coalition.
00:53The Papa MP said Warisan had often accused GRS of being a party of defectors, but recent
00:59political developments showed that party-hopping was also happening in other blocs and even
01:03being celebrated.
